Room Owners should have more authority over their room.

i think that it’s kinda disappointing that room owners get very little control and power in their own rooms, my specific complaints that come to mind at the time of writing this is:

1) Owners cannot see invisible VIPs. a room owner should be able to see everyone that’s in their room, or at least be given an option to remove invisibility as a feature for the room. provide a warning to invisible VIPs prior to entering that they’ll be visible to the room owner. that way if an invisible VIP is causing issues, (ie reporting a ton of things out of context and getting people warned/kicked for jokes) the room owner can still remove them from the room easily and conveniently.

2) Owners cannot permanently block people from their rooms, only issue 2hr blocks, which have to be repeated over and over again for repeat offenders. this also leads back into my first issue with invisible VIPs, as you can block someone, and they can just come back in 2 hours as invisible and that just makes everything uncomfortable and ruins the vibe.

3) Owners cannot add or create anything to make their rooms unique or different from any others, all rooms are essentially the same with different people in them. there’s only 2 commands i know of, and very little customisation.

i would assume giving owners more authority of their rooms would lighten the load for mods and admins, as a lot of problems could be sorted internally by the room owners instead of requiring a mod or admin for small, insubstantial room things. freeing them up to focus on more of the serious problems instead.

thanks for reading, all just my thoughts and opinions on things.

Damn you are committed. Kudos to you.

The issue or what will become an issue if it's enabled on your point "3)" section is it can create a set of complexity in certain situations.

On Invisible V.I.P. not showing for "room owners" if it's a "perk" listed to purchase a #1 Chat Avenue V.I.P. It defeats the purpose of having it as a list of permissions to VIP (though it can be excluded if the powers that be see a reason for its removal) - room admins or a member of their team are always around and especially in the busier rooms.

On customisation and creating a different look from different rooms, sounds like a nice idea to consider a change in but each "main chat room" is tailored to specific cohorts so it may create some confusion but if managed correctly can be a positive addition to the #1 Chat Avenue brand and its existing chat rooms.

On further authority consideration for room owners specifically, it's not entirely a one answer fits all sort of thing as there are set room admins and a moderator team to go along with it, though this site might consider to trial it (if the demand is there).

Good luck on your hopes to change some of the processes here.

👍

I agree with these points especially invisible mode

In the old days, an admin could range ban, probably not suppose to, I agree about the invisible part too, only admins should have that function. I use to love to sit invisible in General Chat and have fun doing the Toki shuffle.

I’m not sure what he’s on about that’s a load of crap to get across to 1 man do hmmm go into one* of your rooms click on the news feed <<< in the setting box at the left hand side you will see the administrator * AKA the owners 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆 click his name select hmm private message and drop him a message bruh he will get back to you @halfpastnever

And PS I’m pretty fuckin sure one of the many admins should have told you what I just did it’s cool tho I might aswell do it for them I do it anyway for them 💯💯💯💯💯

I’m sorry right but you can’t expect everything for free even if it’s meant to be free !!! Cause it’s ok for a new upcoming site but this man has been at it even since I was a kid well over 20 years he runs a business he’s minted !!! Knows what he’s doing has goooood links 🔗 💯💯💯💯💯💯

And he’s a computer nerd 🤓 !!!! Right what takes that man 5 mins to do will take me 10 years he doesn’t have to change anything for you and will not

I think the Invisible ideas are good. The site might need multiple tiers of Invisible, though. There should be "VIP Invisible" and "Staff Invisible." That way, staff can still enter invisibly and the room owner can see invisible VIPs in a room they created.

All that said, I think Invisible is just silly anyway. 🍰

If a room owner does want anyone in invisible in their room it should be an option alongside guests, users or friends

It's caused more problems than it was worth

I 100% agree.

I don’t understand the value of invisible mode.

It makes sense for mods and admins to have the feature, as I’ve personally come across someone who just sits there waiting for staff to go offline and then all chaos is unleashed.

However, I don’t understand it for V.I.P members. I was on cam in Video Chat, and someone was watching my cam, and here are the possible problem it poses:

1. I have no clue who the person is

2. what happens if they begin to harass me? there is no way of me kicking them off my cam, and i must resort to reload the site and either hope that:
a. they don’t join my cam again
b. force myself to go private

Luckily, it hasn’t happened to me yet, however, with the wide scope of the internet, it’s just a matter of time!

Asides from the harmful part of it, I don’t know why someone would want to sit in a pubic chat site made for chatting and not chat? Seems to be defeating the purpose. If you crave entertainment that much, perhaps watch TV!

The main problem with some of these things is that the default software(boomcoding) does not support some of them.
  1. Owners cannot see invisible vips>>> In the default software vips are not even allowed to be invisible, so therefore there is no real reason for it in the default software. A modification would need to be done for that to happen.
  2. Owners cannot permanently block people from their rooms>>> This is something that is changeable. For some reason(stupid reason) it's set so low.
  3. Owners cannot add or create anything to make their rooms unique or different from any others, all rooms are essentially the same with different people in them. There are only 2 commands I know of, and very little customization.>>> That is also something in the default software that is not changeable by the owner unless an addon is purchased, yet I doubt that will happen, but it would be a nice feature for vips. AMEER-PS has an addon called'style room' that could do it but sadly won't happen.
