Video Chat Begging. Maybe Time To Add A Rule?

With the shake up that has happened in video chat, I was thinking maybe we could consider something that would probably make chat better for everybody.

Anyone chatting there knows how annoying it can be where there is someone just endlessly begging and harassing the women to show something or to watch them. Conventional wisdom says to mute these people to solve that problem, and it does solve it....but only for a short time since they simply reload chat, get unmuted by everyone who has muted them, and then start right back up.

I feel like there should be a rule about excessive begging. It probably could even fall under the spam rule of "Absolutely no flooding the chat room or disrupting other users in any way. You will be banned if you do."

These people show up and endlessly flood the chat with their nonsense. The women mute them, they relog and pick right back up where they left off. It never stops. I know most of them do not read the rules or particularly care what the rules even say, but if we could just start kicking these people when they do not let up, then it would make chat so much better for everyone. Chat moves so fast already, and then when you throw in the constant begging, it can make it close to impossible to even follow the chat.

The other thing is that they tend to chase off most women who show up to try out video chat. If we are worried about room numbers dwindling if we start booting these people, you might find that the numbers actually go up some when the women start sticking around longer. It's not a secret that most the guys wouldn't be there if there we no women, and that women are usually what brings people to a chat room. I think we should do what we can to help them have an easier time in chat so that they don't get creeped out and just leave the site.

I can say we as a team do try to counter this as it can be annoying to our side as well... Me personally when I have kicked them off they come back and it becomes hard to tell who they are since they use different usernames and like you said chat moves fast.

Murky makes a very solid point, as do you. It does cross a line of spamming at some point, which we do action against as a mod team. Usually with warnings > Jailing > Kicking > and so forth. It is quite a pain in our ass as Mods as well.

I agree.

Was harassed by this one dude, and he kept changing his name. However, I knew who he was because, as soon as I kicked them off my cam, he would leave and reload under a different name. Unfortunately, that meant me constantly checking who was watching me or either forced me to go private.

Then that forces the endless stream of questions β€œBetty please can I see you” β€œBetty you look πŸ˜β€ Mind you, I’m sat on my bed, giving middle fingers to Skoot lmao and wearing and overly large hoodie that hides half my face. 🀣

Spamming or harassing other ******** is not acceptable and never has been. We all do what we can to stop it but sometimes isn't that easy with rolling ips
Mute them I know this also can be annoying at times but that is also a option

Misty i agree we do our best to stop this i put it in the same category certain users targeting other users as soon as they come in and dont let up on them either both need to stop and all they do is come in under another name and continue to target other certain users We do our best to stop it all. Mods are seen as doing nothing when in fact we do and will continue to do so

Agreed πŸ‘

I think I have the perfect solution. It's going to sound extreme, but follow me here...You know how when you have a spider in your house, and you smash it on the wall? If you leave it on the wall as a warning to other spiders, they stay out of your house, after seeing what happened to their spiderbro.

To that end, I recommend public crucifixions on the first offense. We can pass out spoiled fruit to the videochatters so they have something to throw at them, maybe some lemons in godparties honor, just to make it fun.

EDIT: The word c*atters is censored in the forums?

So you want us to allow people for harass others to be pointed out just so the trolls can kick off and cause **** inches rook not happening soz not on my watch

So a troll would be publicly kicked? That doesn’t make sense as they can’t be kicked in private.

The mods are very clear, and do their best to remove them. I personally have reported them and @.Mistyuk and @Friar Shaggy is 59 responded and kept an eye out. They are there.

Once they realise if things are getting to tense, they step in and say something.

My suggestion would be a software update for Video Chat, much like Cam Chat or Adult Chat, where regular users can register, that way trolls and be easily identifiable and removed as quickly as possible. As well as giving us the option to report them, making it a lot easier for staff.

Are these trolls banned? I’ve never seen a ban enquiry for Video Chat, i’m sure people get banned, however it seems like they just get kicked. Can mods ban? Anyways that’s a matter for when the room has an admin.

They have rules like this already mods aren’t perfect. Remember that. People who spam and flood also evade bans as well. (Happens in my room often.)

lol jesus, I was kidding about the public crucifictions. I'm not serious about actually crucifying people in chat.
