Not my room so whatever I say has no bearing on anything but I'm commenting because this type of thing really irritates me especially when there's a sudden concern about a law enforcement report.

just asking you to let it slide law enforcement and ISP wise since obviously doesn't look good.

Why would this be a concern? If you're trying to catch predators as you claim, surely you would have been taking all that to law enforcement anyway? Wouldn't a report by us in fact help you?

Big difference between an anonymous tip about a pedo to law enforcement and giving my IP to cops under the assumption that it's a child. One opens up an investigation of me, the other one opens up an investigation of the other person.

Once again. There is a very big difference between getting the cops involved based on potential misinformation and possibly getting legal issues in because that is sometimes a risk, and making an anonymous report to FBI Cyber Crimes for them to handle it from there based on proper information. I also only do police reports for the worst ones, like when I have proof of actual crimes being committed most of the time I just report to the mods here or will basically tell them that if they don't leave and delete their account I will send it to the cops

You’re part of the problem not part of the solution and even if you’ve been reported you have nothing to worry about if you’ve done nothing wrong.

Honestly that's a fair point. I don't mind if you guys close this btw cuz if anything more needs to be said I've already DMed Summer X so it would be handled there. I think I overreacted in the heat of the moment when I saw the whole "Your IP has been logged" message because either way it is worrying and I've seen similar sentiment on other posts. Having slept on it overnight I'm really not as worried now and I don't see as much of a point to continuing this unless the Admin directly needs to talk to me.
