Remove report limit?

Is there a reason for a report limit on sex chat and adult chat? It's really inconvenient when I'm trying to report multiple different accounts spamming CP when the mods are not on. And by inconvenient I mean insane.
Hello, let’s get back to the original question you raised. I’m not sure of the exact reason why there is a limit. The limit is set by the site owners so you would have to ask them.

I do hear your frustration when you are trying to do a good thing and report room violations but run out of reports. This should only happen when no moderator is on. Because if they are on, when they resolve your flags your limit should be reset and you can continue reporting. If no mod is on just know that when they do come on they will resolve all your reports.

Please also know that the staff really do appreciate people like you who take the time to make reports to try and keep the rooms free of the inappropriate material that is sometimes posted there. Your efforts are much appreciated. If you would like to contribute even more you can also consider applying to be a moderator. I know of at least one room that is looking for qualified candidates (Adult Chat Desktop) 😇

I agree with the limit being in place to stop those who would abuse the system.

Personally I would like mechanisms allowing me to
i) see the reports I've made
ii) "un-report"

The former allows me to avoid reporting the same person\bot for the same offence - which would probably make a mods life easier. The latter would let me replace a report on an offence I consider 'less serious' with one about a 'more serious' offence.

I can still hit the limit but at least I'm happier with who I have reported for what offence.

There are limits because users abuse the report system. If you report and a mod is on it will be taken care of as soon as possible. If not it will be addressed when one comes online. I can also assure you that each cp, ua, seller or buyer is reported multiple times by other users. I dont see how keeping this thread open is going to be productive.

surely a chat room thats prone to pedos and CP would make sure their report limit is more than 5? it makes sense for other rooms but for a room like sex chat it's on the lower side. pedos and CP bots flood the site really fast the minute they think it's clear of any mods. and there can easily be dozens of them at a time, not to mention other rulebreakers.
I'm on the same page.

I think you read my mind because I was about ready to post a thread on how they could remove the report limit too because I’m constantly reporting Ped0s posting CP in Sex and Adult Chat.

That way you can see the unverified identity anonymity mods up to their sex messaging link phishing scam shenanigans.

not to mention, what if i use my reports up for something unrelated but also serious (like repeated harassment, which ive experienced--a user continuing to log in as a guest to message me) and then the CP start flooding? i literally cant report actual child abuse material in that case. sorry but that doesnt make sense.
My advice is go to a better Chat who value their users instead of the filth

The mods will see it when they log on when you report “one times” as well. Do you see what I did there?
I am trying to talk some sense into you

it’s not a matter of reporting the offense as many time as possible to get their attention. It’s about knowing when to use your reports sufficiently when the mods are online because all it takes is 1 flag to be seen and the mods will take attention. Spamming the report button is not necessary. So having more report buttons is not needed
See what I did? I think your fake plastic pic has gone to your head and rotted your brain

The crooked mods will not like you having evidence of their abuse. When you report a mod for infringing the rules like a sociopathic egocentric monster, they kick you fir 2 hours.

You've made 3 accusations that mods are either pedos or criminals, with no source.

We've had some skirmish with mods in the past, and that's publicly accessible knowledge, but how long do you think those mods/admins lasted after they got busted? Not very long at all. That's because - and get this - the majority of the mods are good people. Shocker, I know.

You have no interest in learning how often mods willingly report to law enforcement (without a warrant, which also means they don't HAVE to), so I'll save you that lecture. Sooner or later, you'll learn that just because you don't like us doesn't mean we're bad people, nor does it mean you're a good person either.

Just food for thought.

ignore richthofen he is a flying fuckwit.
(well. sometimes he is sensible).

re the original question -
I don't chat in the main rooms anymore, but for real - in the main chat rooms - when the admins leave, loads of freaks and weirdos come out of the woodwork, and spam the chat with their pathetic depraved fantasies. It's really unpleasant. and unedifying. and inappropriate. And the automatic ban-filter doesnt stop them.

Probably already been said, but absolutely not. The amount of false reports, reports of the same person over and over, and people reporting random accounts rather than the message, which, quick PSA: for the love of all that is holy, report the damn messages not the profile. All dat is already a headache with just the current limit.

I think unlimited reports could be a good thing, but changing how reports work will be 100% essential.

For example - hide the reports of the same person/message. If someone reports the same person 12 times, only show the 1 report, and if the report is dismissed because the report is rubbish, then show the next report if it's not the same message/content.

Automatically sorting/hiding/organizing the reports can save a huge amount of time, especially when dealing with spammers who get reported 100 times when it's the same message/content.

Doesn't fix the false reporting, but might make it a lot easier to deal with.
