"Already reported" functionality

Lets assume that there are 100 people in a room. One of them posts ceepee, the other 99 report the post.

Now everyone has one less report, and the mod has to wade through 99 identical reports.


If there is an "already reported" functionality...


The quickest of the 99 has their report recognised - the mod knows about the ceepee. The other 98 get a notification, something like "already reported" and their reports are not recognised - they keep that report.

Now the mod only has one report to look at and the 98 don't use up one of their reports. A win-win.


I think the system would only need to know the post being reported and the reason for reporting to notice it's a duplicate. Hopefully this means it won't be too hard to implement

Yes, this has been suggested and would make the staff’s job a lot easier. 🙂

I think that isn't a very good suggestion.

I believe everyone should report, as these moderators must face consequences. @NavyWings would surely agree.

I hope their damn fingers fall off mid process.
