Just a note. It’s really important to note that the news isn’t normalcy. It’s all blood guts and terror. All the time. That’s not normal. I don’t think it is anyways. People need to wake up to that realization. Bad things DO happen. But. It’s really not normal, and the less normal we make it, the more people who will react by standing up instead of just shrugging their shoulders and going on about their day.

fun fact. theres areas like that all over america.... when stats say predominantly black/African american , or Hispanic or white.... thats what they mean. you saw it real time on a much smaller scale. american slave owning did terrible terrible things. and its practices are still alive today. no ones gonna move or react.

on Netflix. 5/5 stars. Would recommend (gives a really vivid sort of glimpse into how minorities were being treated right around when the Vietnam war was happening.) Native Women were being sterilized, without consent right after childbirth, well into the 60’s and early 70’s.

...as a query on this thread so thought I'd provide some clarification which I hope will help you and others.
Just a heads-up. You jumped into an awards thread to take a jab at a Singles Chat mod. That thread wasn’t about you, and it started to go off the rails, so I moved your comment out to keep things on track. I could have deleted it, or moved it to random comments or user message, but as it was a staff issue you raised I decided not to do that.
You were advised in that thread that you could ask for it to be closed anytime. You didn’t, which made it seem like you were cool with the conversation and the feedback others were giving.
If you’ve got an issue with staff, there’s a better way to handle it. Tossing shade in unrelated threads or turning your profile into a callout board isn’t the move. If you go through the proper channels, you’ll get a thread all to yourself — spotlight and all.
