Adult - Mobile - Setting Users To Ignore

Hi there - I hope this suggestion finds you well!

When it comes to setting the other users to Ignore (to block them) in the Adult Mobile Server, it seems like the previous 'month long' block (I believe it was) has recently updated to a '2 week long' block, which all of the the users I've talked to about it are displeased about this change, especially since we would much rather it be permanent, or at the very minimum a year / a few months.

My suggestion is that the Ignore function gets updated to allow users to Ignore another for up to a year's time, ideally. Absolute minimum should be a month's time, but in theory it should be longer than that.

The 'block' functionality is to help users stay safe from harassment, to stop users from spamming their view in Main chat, etc - if we spend all day ignoring the bots and spammers, and then have to do it all over again in 2 weeks, it's not worth the $20 VIP.

Even if the VIP members had longer block times, that would make more sense to us than the current setup.
Please let me know if you need anything in regard. Thank you so much!

Hello and thank you for the suggestion. I’m tagging @Chatmaster for you.

Also, please remember that if you ever need any assistance in the room, feel free to contact one of the friendly neighborhood moderators (or myself) and we will be happy to help in any way we can.

Happy chatting 😎

Just terrible isn't it? How dare they not accomodate ignore/block functions that are effective, I mean none of these things cost money do they?

But I do agree, especially when I fight with @TheDifference , sometimes he just too much , he always wants to be on top and dominant , worse than Chatmaster being a stonewaller

Good luck to ya in any case coz our @Chatmaster is currently out of office and holidaying in the Phillipines and then he'll be in Vietnam - the dollar goes further in these places and he needs the break.

Regards
Mrs Difference

Certainly more of a safety thing than anything else obviously but thank you for the information! No rush on it, it's just a suggestion after all.

Lol! If it was just for me I wouldn't be too worried about it. 🤣😁 Thank goodness. No, Just happy to try to make the place better for everyone!
Psst...rumour has it that if you quietly send TheDifference a love letter - she's a hot looking difference - and word it passionately he/she has Chatmaster on speed dial, he might be able to pull a few strings yer know, Sir Cal.

But naw your input is appreciated, my name is Greta, see you in the room ah, I do like a man I can see.

Cheers

Greta

Thank y'all very much, I'll be sure to charm TheDifference as best as I can - appreciate the hot tip - always. Lol - and nice to meet you, Ms. Greta. Charmed, I'm sure. 😉

This is just for @Chatmaster whenever they get a chance to see it. I hope you had a wonderful trip and you got much needed rest! My friends and I truly love being able to visit each other on this website, and I don't know what all goes into these changes, but I wanted to say something about it in case it was something that could be changed.

This is just a blurb from a friend of mine that I thought helped explain why I posted this out of concern for friends. It's a sweetheart user who transitioned years ago from female to male. They said:
"im glad you posted about the ignore function! i didnt even know people were unblocked automatically after a month (or well, 2 weeks now). thats really really scary to me as someone that deals with death/r*pe/suicide threats for just being trans. the ignore button is my safety."
As well as:
"yeah blocks need to be permanent (or until the person who did the blocking decides otherwise). like thats terrifying to me."

Appreciate y'all reading and your time! Thank you very much for the place to be us.

Okay we will be nice and mature:

Your suggestion isn't likely to be implemented considering the nature of the chat rooms, due to anonymity, guest access and fake registered accounts (non-VIP mostly), the ignore function can be easily overcome and rendered nullified, whether it's permanent or not.

Your best #1 safety is being aware while in the room and active in reporting anyone to a respective room admin or a room mod (if serious enough) and hope their collective intellect will best assist any given situation.

In saying all that it's a chat room, one ought to understand the dangers associated with entering such chat rooms and accept the terms surrounding that - enter at your own risk so to speak.

Happy Chatting Cal
