Should We/Can We separate art from the artist?

Can we, or should we ever separate art from the artist?

How'd you possibly do that? The 'art' comes from the artist, afterall it's a nothing more than a projection produced BY the artist. It's evolved from the artist themseleves. If you were to puck a leaf from a plant, it will certainly be seperated from the plant in space...but that doesn't mean that plant doesn't have the ability to re generate or re grow the leaf. If you are talking about separating a specific artwork, you could but you'd never be able to destroy it's essence which lies in every artists' soul.

A more modern book burning society you mean. The art always transcends the artist whether they do good or bad. The art creates memories and emotions that bookmark a point in life for many people as well. Good luck erasing that.
