WTF is going on... lmao. So much for Knies to Chicago for that 4th pick...

Apparently this is the deal. Chicago just royally overpaid:
To Chicago
- LD Bowen Byram
- LW Jordan Greenway
To Buffalo:
- 4th overall pick
- 45th overall pick
- RD Louis Crevier
 
If this sort of action is happening pre-draft, I wonder what is going to happen Friday..

So far the 4th and 9th overall picks have been traded... That never happens. Ill bet Buffalo flips number 4 for something big, they have enough young D, so either they really covet Reid, Verhoeef or X, they are going to go big game hunting.

Wanna move up. I heard that we wanna move up and potentially to let San Jose is a booking to trade down or trade it. Maybe we trade the 5th and Schneider for 2nd overall.

Let me reword this cause I found out more. Originally the sharks were looking like they were going to trade the second pick, but then they traded away a few wingers so there’s a chance now that might take Steenberg.

Potentially looking to trade up. Was my team so I was thinking they were gonna trade Schneider and the fifth for the second overall. I say Schneider because the sharks desperately need a veteran defense man that could do a little bit of everything.
 
Ima give you an honest take. @Drock McKenna is not winning rookie of the year. I think it’s gonna be Ivar or someone else in the top five. Do i think McKenna will be one of the finalists though absolutely.

Maybe... Maybe not. Hes going to be playing with a very strong top 6 in Toronto, cant deny... Stenberg though could be playing with Celebrini and a rising San Jose team, so its likely between those two.

I honestly think Steinberg is the better player because he’s more ready, but that’s just my opinion. Everyone is gonna be getting a fantastic player.

Thats a media driven narrative. If he was more ready, hed be the number 1 ranked prospect. McKenna blows him away in all categories.
 
After the third pick on the NHL website. It seems like it’s a crapshoot people have different people going different places.

I don’t want Keaton. I’ve heard things about him. That he’s not like he’s a little bit of a project. Reid is more of the power-play guy. Albert played overseas to work a little bit on his offense, but he’s NHL ready in terms of being a penalty killing defenseman.
 
In a pitch perfect world I would’ve wanted Steinberg or Malhotra. But if we take Albert, I will not be disappointed whatsoever. Also @Drock when was the last time you saw this many trades leading up to the draft? Some having major names involved.

Never... This has been the most action leading up to a draft, probably ever. I hope the draft day itself has alot of action...

That’s who I wanted. Albert perfect. And this year I think he can make our team as a third pair penalty killing defenseman to start and will eventually get power playtime a physical monster. Every scout said Albert is the most NHL ready because he’s played with men so let’s go.


We also picked up Pavel from Vegas in a trade.
