Not that my word is the end-all-be-all, but EVS has concluded their investigation on the matter. AI does explain the inconsistent changes in the GIF posted here, where it looks like the location bar disappears instead of floating to the top like Apple's current design should follow. AI would likely miss the accuracy of the animation, resulting in this.
When considering AI, everyone involved should note that AI generation is capable of generating text, and has been capable for a long time. It's unlikely to believe the entire video is AI, however it's more likely that this exchange happened in a different website with a deliberate clone, and then AI was used to drop-in the chat-avenue.com location in the location bar.
This is from our analysis of the video and knowledge from people involved with the investigation, and this result is obviously not final, nor is it the end-all-be-all for a million and one reasons.
Everyone should always be vigilant. Keep an eye on anything that seems suspicious, whether that's a random claim, or someone in power that might be abusing it. AI is more prevalent now, more than ever, and it's usage has been capable of framing people for crimes for a long time now. A US court even had a case where AI evidence was submitted, and this resulted in a cascading legal effect that we are still dealing with today.
