It’s his title. I actually didn’t know his name but did a search and it’s Richard. He’s the one who wanted to prosecute veterans over Afghanistan soldiers and something to do with Northern Ireland. (I may be wrong just of top of my head). He also is a Starmerite who pushed for all this Chagos islands malarkey.

I’ve only been following snippets off and on been a hectic day in work and of course now we await with bated breath of how it may affect immigration enforcement. Doubt it will per se, but they always do a mass comms, when there’s a change in leader, from the directors of the department.

David Lammy is a nitwit a proper Nobel Peace prize contender. Thick as mince. Not to mention under his watch, terrorists (or should I say extremists incase anyone gets pedantic) and rapists somehow “escaped” secure facilities. 90% of them the flip flop brigade.

Rachel Thieves- the thicko from customer services who caused hundreds of businesses to go bust, increased national insurance contributions for employers making it harder for young people to gain a job therefore increase of mass unemployment. (not sure what that’s called in USA? where it contributes towards a state pension, and towards benefits/NHS/sickness/disability allowance). She also increased unemployment benefits for the dole pole brigade at the cost of the employed. She’s a cancerous bitch.

Steve Reed is downright disgusting waiving off the concerns of locals after Rhiannon White was murdered by a Sudanese demon.

there are 3 major programs. 2 federal 1 state based we pay into. ( it would've been 1 federal program, envisioned as 1 but then boomers voted Reagan in.)

1) social security-there are 3 major programs for social security 1. social security -retirement, (SS) widely well known- the one you've probably read about. you work until what was 65 ( it goes up every few years) most 90s babies are at 67. 00's babies are at 69. you pay in and you get what you paid in back. this section also gives out the death benefit. a final payment out. my parents call it the settlement payment, because some of the time, you don't get back all you paid in because you die before all payments are made. the SSA does not give you it after you die they keep it and pay a flat death benefit. 2.supplemental security income (SSI) given to those that are 65+, blind , disabled who cannot work and do not make enough off #3 to live. 3. social security disability (SSDI) given to those disabled, blind who are of working age and can no longer work. (if over 18 never held a job because of said issues). you can also collect social security for death of a spouse ( you collect part of the spouse , you cannot collect both they give you the higher of the 2) or a parent. (you collect 75% of what was theirs for a child until 18.

2) medicare- healthcare for those 65+, or who are on social security. you can qualify for social security and not take Medicare.

3. medicaid- state supplied healthcare for those low income and disabled, and depending on the state almost every child whose parent applies for them. under the age of 19.

when you read/hear about Medicare for All. those that support it want to pay into a system like NHS. currently here if you do not qualify for #2 or #3. you have A) no insurance B) private pay insurance. you can get a lot more covered with private pay but a lot of the times its no better than govt funded.

Ok so I did initially think ss was the equivalent but always assumed ss was the equivalent of our benefits system (universal credit), so that confused me because it had the same name. Am I right in seeing that as an outsider or..?

What we have here is the national insurance, which are a deduction which contribute towards the aforementioned.
We also have PAYE (Pay As You Earn) it’s essential a 20% tax on your initial salary (subjective percentage deductions based on annual personal salary- can rise to 40 and 50%- usually for CEO’s or millionaires ((HA!))

I genuinely do think it’s disgraceful the rates and fees of medical service in the USA. When I moan about ours and sometimes post it should be privatised, I 80% don’t mean it. It’s just frustrating but that’s nothing compared to USA fees etc

How is that affordable for you guys? Bloody hell

universal credit = welfare here.
the welfare "system" is a group of services . section 8 ( council housing ) supplemental nutrition assistance program / SNAP/food stamps, low income home energy assistance program/LIHEAP , cash assistance/TANF , + others. the federal govt collects the money then disperses it to the states, some states get more some less. they help oversee these programs taking the burden of paying for it off the states budget. the states give out the assistance/money based on need . you must apply through your states program usually called a department of human services, and show proof of need. much of this assistance isnt actually cash in hand. one program talks to the other program and wham you have 0 rent due.

we pay for this out of the general "federal taxes" its not separate line items. we pay for welfare out of the same with holding we pay for money for the military or national parks or white house light bulbs.
i think the general fund its why we cant get anywhere its not solely about party. its about no one being on the same page of what goes where.
out of the $10 creed had taken out for federal taxes last year only 6 cents of his went to welfare and 12 cents went to white house light bulbs and he paid none to national parks. out of the $20 I have taken out for federal taxes only $1 went to welfare, 14 cents went to national parks and $2 went to white house light bulbs. creed is madder than a wet hen that 12 cents went to white house light bulbs. and he wants me to be mad too. I personally think my $2 was well spent. but creed is gonna climb up one side of the tree and down the other side and yell its not fair his 12 cents went there. and then argue with me, get mad and say hes never paying for national parks again. and ill say you cant access national parks then. then it goes round and round while he still pays 12 cents and i pay $2. dont get me started on how angry creed gets when he learns i get a refund on tax day and he breaks even.

we have a lot of medical debt. most of it cannot count against your credit. or your ability to apply for social services. we also have free hospitals and many hospitals that take govt funding have a rule in an emergent situation they will treat you even if you cannot pay right then. its hard breaking the stigma of medicare for all, medicare has a history of being not good insurance. if the govt did medicare for all the private pay system would have no choice but to get on board. making the medicare system better.

I actually you 100% wrong. I love the national parks and I love Fishing. I’m annoyed that they’re defunding them. So any bread that goes to them is good. I support it.
 
Considering most of Andy Burnhams Cabinet are Northeners i fear us Southerners are in for a rough ride.
