Who has cheated death?

In June I ended up in the A&E because of Graves' disease.
It nearly killed me. If my GP didn't tell me to go straight to the hospital, I wouldn't be here now.
Doctors were telling me "We're worried", "You're very sick. If you self-discharge you'll die"...

Anyway, one month later I'm feeling much better thanks to PTU and propranolol.

Who else has nearly died too?
