Labor Day on Monday. Labor day = day off/ holiday for those of the working "laboring" classes. ( Unofficial end to summer) 2 additional days are built into my works schedule. And no not everyone has it off. But it is a recognized federal holiday. Meaning if they work it's required time and a half. Plus many have their own holiday pay tacked on. some choose to make bank and leave their holidaying to other times.
Hurricanes are . Tornados are not . You can have a tornado with a hurricane but not a hurricane with a tornado. Hurricanes are scaled and named. Tornado are just scaled.

heres ours for the Atlantic ( most popular when talking about hurricanes). we also have them for the Pacific north and south.
currently dolla is being slammed by E. ( i am joking. its a bit a rain if shes still online) and no we dont name them on the whim its years out. notice D came and went the same week she went. names also get retired. IE Katrina will never come back around. to retire it has to cause catastrophic damage to life ( human and creature ), land and possessions.
you just know F will cause massive damage. maybe itll be retired too.

We've had them move from Mexico up . But it's highly unlikely one from other countries hit the Continental US. ( Not Alaska and Hawaii) . we've also had the same one hit multiple times or ones stay so strong inland they Are still called by name instead of like system 123... Sandy moved so far inland they were still calling it Sandy when it hit Ohio. Usually in fall the Great lakes have hurricane type weather patterns without the damaging winds and building of eyes because of the northern flow coming in hitting the southern. I can see why the two threads might look a bit similar at first glance.
But… when Fairy posted her random comments in other threads, including the random comments thread people complained and asked for her random comments to be moved into a thread of their own.
So Fairy had a thread of her own and posted in her own random comments thread.
And now people are wondering why she has a thread of her own.
I think the funniest part is that we’ve somehow gone from “please give Fairy her own thread” to “why does Fairy have her own thread?” Maybe we need a poll with two options - Fairy should have her own thread or Fairy should be allowed to post wherever her posts land in EE.
At least everyone’s talking, I suppose. Maybe that’s the real purpose of the forums 🤷♂️💕

Can't have the thread AND then still invade others. The UMs have courteously moved the majority of her posts into her own thread in an effort to give everyone who has been complaining about her the opportunity to simply use ignore and move on.
Instead, y’all continue in new threads with posts like these:

So, come back as UMs. Be part of the solution instead of continually complaining about a “UM problem” that allegedly still exists.

I really don't see the issue with Farty Star having her own thread so she can upchuck emojis willy nilly. Why does anyone even read her threads anyway? She is in her own world, having fun. Blabbydrooler is more of an issue, since she/he/it finds it funny to clone other accounts to bully other users. I think she is much more serious of a problem than brain dead old farty star.

I don't care who the ums are. They need to follow and enforce the rules. Some which are basic common sense, some which are laid out in the TOS . Not make up new rules per the person. Per the thread
The only reason I can think of why your questioning me is, You forget I've known fairy and princessa ( the 2 I was referring to) far far longer than any current um . They not only hung out in singles and made it drama they trickled over here to cause drama. One did nothing but tell gays that God hates them and wished death to them ( and still does if you read it) . In caps, more than 3 times in a row. The other sat there b1tching about guys and started fights with users (mostly gals) over their looks and inability to get a partner . This is a chat site/ chat room and chat board. Them posting useless emotes and gifs that have nothing to do with the topic minute by minute hour by hour ( even for ee ) is the definition of flooding. And hinders if not completely kills the conversation. If @Kim or I would show in any thread and throw out 8 posts in 3 mins of half exclaimtion points and 6 lines of random emojis or 6 posts of gifs we'd both get a ban.
Being part of a dysfunctional "team" has never worked out here. I've seen it time and time again. But please keep assuming pms/emails/feedback forms to CM haven't been sent.

We aren't the only ones, I would suggest a poll but it would be shut down. we just seem to be the vocal ones since its killed off what 25 users this board has.

** Since Kim needs to know my every vacation move... Not my dog went to potty at 3am and took off after a raccoon. All 17 of us went out looking and finally found him 2 hrs later in the pond at hole 3. ( Were on the outside loop of hole 15) . Breakfast buffet at the clubhouse isn't until 9. BUT what feels like my life savings was spent yesterday at bath and body works, holy teenagers batman. Sun and high of 83. The tube (floatie) is tied to the deck waiting for the boat.

My post was about the fact that you and Kim repeatedly take shots at the UMs for supposedly not doing our jobs, while simultaneously continuing to engage in the very behavior you're complaining about. You can't keep feeding the drama, participating in the back-and-forth, and then point at staff when the thread inevitably turns into a shitshow and call it “bad management.”
As for the history you've laid out about Fairy and Princessa, I'm not going to debate every incident you've ever had with either of them. If there's a specific rule violation, report it. If there’s not, use ignore. Their history with you doesn't change the point I made.
And no, you're not the only ones who have opinions about the UMs. You're simply among the loudest about them. Staff also hear plenty from people who don't want to participate on Forums because of the constant hostility and drama from its longtime members, too.
But hey, you've made your position very clear. We've heard it. All of us. And countless times.
You don't have to like the way the UMs moderate, and you certainly don't have to agree with every decision. That’s the beauty of being a chatter - you don't have to concern yourself with moderation decisions, because they're not yours to make.
If you're going to continually tell us we're the problem, though, then yes - my original suggestion still stands: Come back as a UM and help fix the problem you're convinced exists.
Otherwise, maybe consider that being part of the solution sometimes means knowing when to stop feeding the problem.

Nobody questioned whether you think UMs should follow the rules. Nobody questioned whether you've known Fairy and Princessa longer than we have. You brought all of that up to justify your position, but none of it actually addresses what my post was about.

Your interpretation of the rules doesn't automatically make you right, just as your interpretation of a situation doesn't automatically make the UM who handled it incompetent. If you believe a rule was applied incorrectly, that's something you can raise with Chatmaster - but disagreeing with a moderation decision doesn't make the decision wrong simply because you would have handled it differently.

What I find genuinely comical is that the blame always seems to land on staff, while the possibility of any self-reflection somehow never enters the conversation. If Forums is supposedly losing users because of other people, perhaps it's worth considering that constantly insulting people, continuing arguments you're supposedly tired of, and then blaming staff for the resulting atmosphere might also be contributing to the problem you're referring to.

Well said Leigh I think the problem with this group here is they like 2 cause a fire paint everyone with a brush 🧹 yet don’t see what they do is wrong like thier group targeted comments or thier sly comments about the staff they have 2 much to say for back seat drivers im personally not offended co im not the only person they try to gang up on

Yes this game is played not far from where I am - it has gone viral and all tickets sold out before they left USA - will be an interesting watch and its live on TV - the amount these players get paid is insane!
On another note why do you keep referring to staff? its a volunteer positions and you are not getting paid - maybe its just me but Jesus you are not working you are volunteering!
