Hello,

I am appealing the ban placed on my account for allegedly “soliciting sexual material from a child.”

I believe this was a serious misinterpretation of the conversation by the automated moderation system.

The person I was speaking with was 26 years old at the time of the conversation.

Hello,

I believe this was a serious misinterpretation of the conversation by the automated moderation system.

There was no “misinterpretation” by the system filter. It did its job very well and based on the question you asked the person you were talking to, it rightfully banned you.

The reference to age 14 was therefore referring to an event that the adult person had described from her own past. I was not communicating with a 14-year-old, nor did I ask a minor to provide, send, produce or share sexual material.

I understand and support the strict rules concerning minors and sexual content. However, I believe that in this case the automated detection system has incorrectly interpreted an adult conversation as sexual solicitation of a child.

I didn’t say you communicated with a 14 yo nor did I say you asked a minor to send anything.
I said the system correctly banned you for the question you asked.

The reason for the ban suggests that I communicated in this conversation with a minor to send anything. Are you kidding me ?
The ban reason is auto generated by a machine. I am a human and I read your post and I’m telling you the content of your post is why you were banned.

I fully understand that the wording used could have triggered child protection systems; however, I believe that classifying this incident as "soliciting a child to share sexually explicit material" does not accurately reflect the course of the conversation.

Again, stop focusing on the auto generated ban reason. Your ban was reviewed by a human being and deemed to be the correct action.

Understood. I accept that the ban was reviewed by a human being.

For the sake of understanding the decision, could you please clarify which specific rule my message violated?

The person I was speaking with was 26 years old at the time, and the reference to age 14 concerned an event she described from her own past.

I am not asking you to reconsider the fact that the wording was sexual. I am simply asking what specific rule applies to a conversation between two adults when one adult refers to a sexual event that happened to her when she was 14.

If you can clarify this point, I will understand the basis of the decision.

Thank you.

Here are 2 rules:

“All content must be 18 years old or older.”

“All sexual discussions must be 18 or older.”

I understand your interpretation of the rule, and I respect Chat Avenue's decision to maintain an 18+ standard for sexual discussions.

I would nevertheless like to make one final clarification regarding the application of that rule.

The person I was speaking with was 26 years old at the time. She voluntarily described an experience from her own past, when she was 14. My question referred to that past experience. There was no minor participating in the conversation, no underage roleplay or ageplay, no image or video involving a minor, and no request for such material.

I understand that your rule states that “all sexual discussions must be 18 or older.” However, the rules do not appear to expressly state that an adult is prohibited from discussing a sexual experience from their own past when they were under 18.

I am therefore asking whether the ban is based on an interpretation that any sexual reference to an event occurring before a person's 18th birthday is prohibited, even when the person discussing that event is an adult.

If that is indeed the intended interpretation of the rule, I will accept that clarification. I would simply appreciate knowing the precise basis for the decision.

Thank you for your time.

Yes, adults talking about sexual events that occurred as children is prohibited.

Thank you for clarifying the rule. I understand now that Chat Avenue prohibits adults from discussing sexual events that occurred when they were children.

I was not aware that the rule was interpreted this broadly, and I understand the distinction now. I will respect this rule in the future.

Given that I now understand the rule and that there was no minor participating in the conversation or being contacted by me, would you be willing to reconsider the permanent IP ban as a one-time exception?

I would appreciate the opportunity to continue using the service while fully complying with this rule.

Thank you for considering my request.

No. The ban stands. This is why it’s very important to read the rules when you enter a chat room.
