Guests accessing chats

The issue most chats have do not stem from the registered members but from those using the guest feature and so my suggestion would be to make it so if you click to go in using the guest option, you are sent to a specified separate room. Maybe name it something like guest lobby?

And have it to where they cannot access any other part of the chat they are visiting unless and until they create a registered account.

This way guest access would never need to be turned off but it would make it so that those using the guest option could not abuse the chat rooms as they do now and many abusive issues would be contained.

while i agree the guest function gets abused more than any one of us could guesstimate, and i agree something needs to be done about the abuse of the guest accounts. guest chat/non registered chat is probably one of the biggest draws of this site. more people clicking enter = more ad revenue. & if the guest realizes theyve been redirected to a guest access only chat they likely wont return. which in turn lowers the revenue.

That shouldn't be the way it is but your right in that, but if guests wanted to chat to people they would create a account to talk to the people who they want, well you'd think. But no they would cause a scene
 
hmm probably dont have access to this but if you do enable lobby 🙂
and itll take you to a list of rooms to select first you can't force all guest into a certain room to start because you have the "main chat"
 
hahahaha as if chatmaster will stop anything that will not hide the millions of pedos on the site that he/she/it clearly makes money out of
 
I have a thought on my original concept, how about using that same idea but instead of being a permanent condition, it would be placing the guest in a guest lobby for a time limit of say 10 to 15 minutes so that a mod or an admin could look them over and in the least make sure they are not using any unacceptable username before entering the main chat.

And if any guest does not like that 10 to 15-minute wait they still would have the option to register an account and eliminate the wait. Again just my two cents on an issue that if coded correctly could be managed better then allowing them to basically hold all chat hostage with their unabated attacks! :banghead:

in the new update there will be a feature for auto guest mute 😀 and auto mute until verified 😀
 
If only this could happen, same as if only kicks/mutes would stand, but there is always a way around this. Just cause there is a front door doesnt mean one has to use it
