This is for @Chatmaster honestly.

your site says about safety on here but there isn’t any. You would rather keep perverts, pedos, doxxers and trollers just to keep up the revenue.

You have a site here that you could make more safe for all others - but that doesn’t matter because you’re getting in the dosh.

how on earth this site is still running is beyond me 🤭

I actually feel bad for all the admins and mods who try their hardest to keep this a comfortable and safe environment for people. They work tirelessly.

give them more free reign to use bans on people who actually bring chaos to this site.

I promise you, people would feel more comfortable on here if moderators get more of a chance to ban and get rid of the kn0bheads.

I was a mod for lesbian chat, because I wanted to make a difference in the room, clean it up from all the d1ck pics, perves and pedos but what is the point if the owner of the site would rather keep his money than actually give a fûck? 🤷‍♂️


Purplerose is right - people do need to try and make a change on here. And if you enjoy this site as much as you do, then do the right thing and rebel against the money hungry owner.

Where I agree with elserto is this. If you as a mod dont support the orgasnization, you really have one choice. Leave. Volunteers are that .at odds with management c.hange within, or you can go. Plain and sim.ple. I dont mean that disrespectully ive said it for years.

Why are mods and (ill only speak about me) expected to follow a policy? I can tell you I have seen mods boot ******** for 6 hours for a cbomb. Ive seen worse. After 20 years of those kinds of things it makes it understandable why we may seem limited to start. In my case Ive been given more discretion to fully manage the room. That is positive change. I feel its been earned and earned with the help of great gen chat mods. Who day in day out face a lot of issues only to face more by a group or type of chatter that is never satisfied. Our team got rid of several creeps in the last week alone. And you can be sure some malcontent will be on forums calling me a creep lover that does nothing- or the mods. Thats ok- skin is thic.k and we dont scare easily. Our team will soldier on and try our best and try some moree.

In terms of ads etc Ill just say the chat is free, there are methods owners choose as owne.rs..t to do revenue issues, thats not my concern. What Imean is management in any organization has the right to manage. its not my dept or inclination to tell uppers what they can do that way. .I have issues I can deal with, in my dept and where I can perhaps improve the room.

Ive never though time in meant anyone was automm.atically correct on everything. But, while Ive rarely said it, ive chattered here for 17 yea.rs ..e . Ive modded for 4 and im now a junior adnmin with 2 months on the job. .After watching first hand prob 100s . olf mods and admins- I have my view of what works and what wont.

.Chat ave may not be perfect- but imo its been a good site and still is. Its OG and worhty of my volunteer time and that of my mods.

what key things shouldn’t CM allow in there?
- nudity.
- pedos.

Straight off the bat. Yes repeat kicks are a thing but what if those repeat offenders don’t stop? You are the room admin, CM should be giving you the power to take over there. You’re clearly not going to abuse your power in there, are you? You’ve been a mod for so long.

You’ve even said that you have to speak to CM first, but sometimes CM doesn’t allow admins to do things because it generates more of a revenue. That’s not just from my mouth, that’s from others who have been here.

There’s a lot more that can be done on this site. I’m sorry to say that, I don’t just mean general chat, but for all.

Honestly, it’s not about giving mods the power, it’s just about doing the right thing and protecting people.
You ban the pedos, that’s one step in a direction.
The doxxers? Banned for one day, then you allow them to come back - is that your judgement or CM’s?
 
I keep saying this to people.
I might get site-banned for saying this, but **** it. Some (Not all) trolls and legit repeating serious offenders of the chatrooms get to remain so cash can keep coming from users staying, and it doesn't seem like he/she cares about how some of the chatrooms go anymore, even if it's a whole disaster. Therefore, **** him/her.

Some of you may say "Well, Voca, you might as well leave!" I like Chat Avenue enough to give a **** more than some people it seems. The chatrooms need more safety measures to tackle doxxing and p3d0 rings. The fact that VPN is forbidden, therefore those who get doxxed and/or get their IPs exposed simply bc they are not allowed to cover it, is saddening.

As for the moderators and admins who try their best to tackle those 2 issues, a lot of respect goes to you. Thank you. You are what makes these chatrooms continue going.

I differiantaite between mods that have been let go for being bad mods and those who take pricipled ...(and even if misguided) .stands .

To answer your question there are some topics im not free to discuss because this is your thread as a chatter not mine as staff. But i can say this. Forever here, the basic concept of some version of WMK has been the template. To specifically answer you on bans and allowing a banned doxxer back? . . I support and agree with the notion of progressive discipline (where appropriate) and I dont believ e in swatting flies with sledgh.ammers. I think the .most severe sanctions should be reserved .. for the worst offenders. In other words proportio.ionality.

Dont do yourself a dis service becaiuse I think at heart your intentions are good. I have NEVER in my many years here come to think cp or peds are ok by management. ..In my small corner of the chat ave world that is simply false...

Just because in my room I feel I do have that f.ull support . to deal with ped cp etc doesn not mean the burden of proof vanishes. I have a duty to be fair and insvestigate. (unless its blatent) and will continue to do so. Thats who I am not whom im told to be.

the goal isnt to boot as many ******** as possible. The goal is to remove those that need it- be fair consistant,..and make good kicks - quality over quantity. .

It’s not a misguided stand, it’s my choice lol. Where as everyone still continues to think CM gives an absolute fûck about this site.

let me tell you this:

I own a 600+ discord server, it’s vetted down. There’s no random guests and there is a registration process - that’s literally one way to make it more protected. Get rid of the guest option - won’t do that because it’s less revenue.

If people are homophobic, racist, sexist or even try to be inappropriate, they get banned. Kaboot. Know how many people I warn? Barely one a week. It’s a protected place.

The reason why I came back to mod LC? I grew up on this chat and wanted to make a difference. But I have personal issues, and don’t want to be abused no more for being trans.

But then jumping into different rooms and noticing the difference? Fûck.

That Emo Foxy? The one who apologised for making comments? Actually said that if that female who is 15 was in the same continent, would consider banging her. In chat. After he apologised to you.

HR, I think it was pointed out in the beginning, but this wasn't an attack on you. Please stop taking it that way and stop insisting on stirring the pot by making offhand remarks about people who are displeased with how you've handled the most recently clusterfuck. ElSerto has already quit, far as my understanding of things, and is just venting their frustration on how things are being handled overall, not one room specifically. Not everything in life is a petty vindictive fight in the making just for you to partake in.

Also, of course users would complain about mods and admins. As some don't do their jobs. And they don't kick or ban the chatter that the person is complaining about. Sometimes users complain about both. The user and the mod/admin.

And screenshots are most certainly necessary. Some mods overlook the rules, reports don't get handled (correctly, if at all), evidence can get deleted (ex: the PM's). So what's the next best thing? Screenshots. But sadly some can't grasp that concept.

Some mods disregard screenshots, some admins avoid answering questions about reports or certain users (mods too). The list goes on.

Again, not pointing any fingers. 👀

But seriously. Logic and justice aren't common things found here.

As for the rest of what Dess said, I sadly couldn't read. But it's fine, I miss my English lessons from time to time too.

There is a saying that there are as many versions of you as there are people who have met you, the same principle can be applied to this situation because we each see our 'truth' through our eyes, but that is not the problem that is arising from this discussion.

The problem that is arising from this discussion is the same people are making the same argument to refute the same person same response. This is a problem because it is like the fool who puts his hand in the fire and expecting a less painful result every time he does it...AND is becomes preaching, or ramming your opinion down other peoples throats.

Everybody in this discussion has valid points, not right, not wrong, just VALID. Now's the time to either be the change or let someone else be the change, and shut the f%$# up.

Its not about the power for mods. It’s having more control over the rooms, for the admins.

I don’t know how it works for the kids/teens but in most rooms, it’s harder to issue bans. For example:

Nudity in rooms - continuous nudity posting, you think it would be a ban as the repeat offenders keep doing it? Nah, just fucks. Allowing younger users to be exposed to it. That’s not safety of the room, especially if mods can’t be there all the time. There would be unsupervised chat rooms for plenty of it, as mods and admins have a life outside of this chat room.

there is a lot that can be done, but this site is literally ran on power of perves. Most people that I’ve warned about asking for sexual things have said when they ****** sexual things, it can show them this chat site.

in no way is this definite proof of safety. I’m just saying a lot more can be done to protect its users.

You know kids and teen can’t ban straight up for nudity right. Well kids didn’t when I modded in there. Teen can’t even straight up ban people asking for CP. depends how they word it anyway. “Str” they need to have Atleast 3 kicks before we can ban request “mega” gets banned right away. Tell me the difference but 🤦. And for nude, they need to have again 3 strikes for it before it can be banned. Was the same in kids chat as I said but might have changed, kids chat bans any CP requests tho

the whole point of my thread was to discuss how ******** aren’t being banned due to CM not giving orders to the admins.

I have complained about the users to the mods and admin. I’m pissed because CM doesn’t give a shît for this site. There is a lot that can be improved on but it’s all about the revenue.

I don’t know who you’re saying is in the chat all day, because I’m not. I have work lmao I have a life outside of chat too.

this whole thread is around CM. And CM’s uncaring nature for a website that he owns.

if CM is not allowing admins to remove ******** who break the rules constantly - it’s a CM issue.

I like this, but if no one speaks up, who will try to change it? This was just an insight of my opinions on how it could make a change. And if others feel the same, then it’s becoming more known of an issue, you know?
