Suggestion: harsher punishments for rule breaking

Idk what the general time limit is on kicks but it seems to not be effective in deterring people like Bread and multiple other vip ******** in vgc from spamming the chat with the n word and other offensive comments.they seem content and okay with the punishment they receive in exchange,and it is short-lived.i have yet to see them get banned for breaking any of the more important rules.the rules are already lenient enough for just a mute.i really think they need to adjust the punishments,or Atleast the time frame for those punishments.

I see. If possible I’d ask if they could increase the time for kicks, or adjust the rules/conditions for ban’s more importantly.like if someone is being openly racist or homophobic,or threatening to doxx ******** in chat especially as a consistent thing,it’s fair to say that person has no intention of stopping and thus there would be no point in giving them a timeout because they are “repeat offenders”.

Or even having more mods in vgc.i know they just added one but I feel the hours they are online overlap too much and there’s still chunks of time they aren’t on that people take advantage of to harass.maybe have some kind of mod schedule? Idk.i think my last chat had something like that

For me personally doxxing should be a ban🤔 but anyways you’d need to speak to your room admin @Glob and maybe if you wanted to become a mod. I see below you mention there’s times where you feel like could be modded and maybe you can help the team. I know kick times won’t increase but CM is the guy to talk to about that

I understand that you have frustrations with repeat offenders receiving the same punishments day after day, especially in regards to Bread. You two are tricky because both of you seem to feel very similarly towards each other - you feel harassed by each other, you feel the other isn't being adequately policed / punished by mods, you refuse to ignore each other, and instead you both react negatively towards each other because you feel mods either aren't present or aren't sufficiently reprimanding the other's actions.

Everyone has a slightly different style of modding, but each mod follows the same protocol of warn / mute / kick. Some mods warn once and others warn multiple times, mutes can range from two to fifteen minutes, and kicks can range from two minutes to two hours. Bans are reserved for the most severe of offenses, and occasionally saying banned words does not fall into this category. Each day, we start a new, and I personally always try to give each chatter the benefit of the doubt in today being a better day than the last.

Just as you accuse Bread and other VIP ********, I have likewise seen you post racial slurs in the chat room (there are SS in the thread here), so you can hopefully see why this is a difficult situation from all sides of the argument. The seven mods that VGC currently has do their best to follow protocol and be available as much as possible, but it is important to remember that we are here on an unpaid, volunteer basis. If you feel that protocol needs amending or you feel you might be a good asset to the mod team and would like to apply to be part of the solution, here are some resources that you can contact regarding that:

I have not posted any racial slurs.i just looked at that post u linked.the only time I used a slur was in cc when voca and I were typing out the lyrics to that song by Lil dicky and Chris brown (to which Ofc we were reprimanded for and it didn’t happen again.ask the mods in cc).bread took those screenshots (specifically cropping out voca so it looks like it’s just me) and has been spamming them sinse into every single convo. especially after I told him that voca was agreeing with him as a joke because what he was saying was blatantly ignorant (as she told me in pm).and I looked at some of the others as well,many are compiled together from different convos and literally edited together into one photo to look a certain way,notice how the sentences are just me one after another and not the actual conversation.they are cropped single sentences from different conversations.none of those are slurs.for example again, the one with me replying to stew after he threatened (again) to doxx me or post my “nudes” that he keeps claiming he has.i don’t harass people like bread does.also,i only speak on what I know and have studied.i am very well educated on the subject of race,sociology, and POC issues.I’m in university for it as well. respectfully, i find it highly misinformed to compare me correcting someone on issues they don’t fully understand, to Bread as some kind of justification for me literally being called a ni***r in chat.

Considering the source of that thread and those screen shots, I definitely take them with a grain of salt and have no doubt that the screenshots were cropped to highlight you (and not other ********) in a negative light. I don't personally keep a scrapbook of screen shots on hand, and only referenced that thread because it was an easily accessable example. I didn't intend any offense by it and honestly didn't read any further than the first screen shot in that post.

I don't disagree that you are being harassed in chat, and I also definitely didn't reply to your thread as some sort of "justification" for other's harassing behavior. Harassment is never okay from any party, and it's likewise not okay to harass in retaliation to harassment. I understand that you're upset because of some of the words in my post, but hopefully that doesn't discount the other points I mentioned there - many of which you inquired about directly and I was responding to accordingly.

Just to be clear here, I in no way find harassing or racist behavior from anyone to be acceptable. Period. I don't care who is saying it and why, if anyone is being harassing or using racial slurs, it's wrong. The screen shots that @SouporMan posted were just a small sample of the distasteful behavior I have seen Bread exhibit, and it is in no way admissable. I appreciate where you're coming from by posting this thread, and hopefully parts of my previous post provide answers to some of your questions and resources for you to pursue.

Yes, they were.and thank you for clearing that up in your first paragraph. The links were also helpful in figuring out what other routes to take. Also yeah,I’m sure he has a scrapbook because he slipped up a few times in chat and admitted that he actually screen records all day from the moment he logs in to the moment he logs off,on multiple monitors.the only reason/use for screen recording a days worth of chat logs is if he literally reads them all after and compiles “scrapbooks” and “snippets” for every chatter to use against them at any time in case anyone stops being his friend or he stops liking them.

For some ******** and some offences I would support greater ability to give longer kicks. Sadly my understanding is mods in the past have abused this feature...Daily I kick the same people over and over...Many of whom are back as soon as kick is over doing exactly the same thing.
