I know its good to have anyone to use chat rooms and having guests gives users who potentially might like the chat room to see and make an account. However wouldn't it be a good idea to rate limit guests from sending messages, such as given them a 5 second forced pause so they cannot spam and just leave. This can solve spam and trolling and letting mods take action faster with out having to remove the spam comments.

I declare. That is too bad about the numbers having to do more with the guest accounts. For me, I see way more abuse and breaking rules with the guest accounts. Some of the account members have suggested to me to have more moderators in the room when there are some hours go by without any. I went in this morning and found 203 reports. The most I have seen since becoming moderator. Again, I am mostly new, so just respectfully suggesting things.
I am also new here, and I respect the effort some of the staff puts in. I do not know what it would take to affect some needed changes, but I do know that changes are needed. Had I been even casually been watching the main chat, I could have easily added 25 percent to the count You walked in on.

Thank You Alexander!

You're welcome, Kwasind. I just hate seeing pedophiles and minors attempt to rule the numbers. I, too, would love to see some positive changes towards alleviating the trash.

Yeah, so much for being diligent, just maxed out my reports in gay chat.....Sorry. No worries, can go window shopping now! 🙂

I didn't count them, How many do I get, and for what period of time?

I can add another idea to the mix, Bring the "report" function in to it as well. I am not sure if the reports are screened by Mods, but if they are, It can be a Very useful tool!

If Mods screen them, and know who made the report, users that have a high valid reporting rate should be given more "reports".
It does not take me long to burn up the three per hour I am alloted. I believe increasing "report Bullets" for dedicated users will help cut down on the undesirables and underages. Perhaps giving the Mods a fighting chance.

It would also be nice to have something that indicates a post has already been reported so that diligent Users are not wasting Reports.

And the report procedure is slow, not sure how, but if it could be streamlined somewhat it would help

Thanks for all productive Input! : )

The number of reports a chatter has depends on the room - I've seen three, four, and five in different rooms. Imagine report flags like physical flags, instead virtual ones that replenish magically after a certain period of time. You may take one of your flags and stick it in a chatter message bubble as you see fit. When you've stuck all your flags in message bubbles, you are now holding zero flags. When a mod signs in, they are able to review what flags are in which message bubbles. They can act upon the messages if they so choose (by doing nothing, deleting the message, muting the offending chatter, or kicking the offending chatter), remove the flag from the message bubble, and then hand it back to the chatter that flagged the message. So it's not a time limit where your flags regenerate so you can make more reports, rather it's a matter of a mod reviewing the message you put your flag in so that they can return that flag back to you. If there is a mod logged on while you're making the report, chances are you'll get your flag back quickly so that you can report another message. Where as if there is not a mod available for a few hours to review reports, it will take longer for you to be able to flag another message.

Honestly I think a better solution for just to VIPs have the perk of PASTE lol its much easier.

I've thought of this, like it would be nice if guests couldn't paste, and if they're guests, peoples pictures and posts of pictures are encrypted for guests with the slogan ("sorry please register to see this image") or something along those lines lol. I dunno man I just dont like these trolls LOL

Yeah. Mods will often log in as guests to avoid lording over users, or just to watch.

Not all guests are trolls, so limiting the functions might not be the best.

There should however be stricter rules for guests.

Perfect explanation - and in Gay Chat, the number is 3

I really like your idea 😊

I think you should have plans for how long you can be a guest. Kinda like a "free trial" before you actually have to sign up. @***** is it possible to make that happen? And after you run out of the trial you are required to make an acc if you liked it or go somewhere else... As well as incorporate what the others said about the chat cool down. Anyway that's my thoughts on this matter.

Hmm for now limiting features is the best thing
To try and force a sign up
Though a pop
Up with a registration after like 5
Minutes forcing a signup would be cool
But this site is about being 100% freenso forcing a signup isn’t in their options users can chat completely anon and free as a guest they can give a few details (email address) and they are granted a permanent name(free forever if they continually log in and no one else can use thus name) and unless they want the vip perks then they pay but (most features are enabled in all rooms) that anyone would need to chat normally

The simple remedy would be to shut off guest accounts entirely but that wud bring the revenue down so that's not gonna happen soon

I have seen sites where guest accounts can view but not speak or post. It makes the chat much cleaner for users and much easier for the moderators. Additionally, there are different ways of managing the reporting feature which are more efficient.
BUT the bottom line is that the only one who can make these changes are the owners of this site. And so far that isn’t happening. It’s their site and we have to respect their decisions as long as we want to use the site. Just my 2 cents.

Very true, I wonder what it would take to convince them of some small changes. If it did not affect the bottom line.

If only there was a way for users to do moderator work for us in a very subbtle way and not monkey backing with reports.

Something in the lines of vote kick. A diplomatic vote to kick out unvanted offenders.

I refuse to believe there are so many sickos in our rooms, hence it leads me to believe that site is under constant attack of third parties. (Conspiracy Theory) Real sickos would get tired of being kicked all the time and let off I think. But due to the nature of the easy access to site I do not know how we could improve the security. Most suggestions are just to make the offenders life a bit harder and not get rid completely.

So unless you have a 24/7 mod support or an AI that can do that there will always be something popping up in reports.
