Closing Threads

Wouldn't it be easier for a person starting a thread to be able to close it on their own without assistance? Maybe the person that starts a thread wants to close it so all they would have to do it right or left click on their pfp and have that as an option? Just a thought. Thank you.

Naw cos you'll end up with genuine discussion threads being closed cos the OP didn't get the answer they liked or wanted to surpress opnions that don't match theirs.
Plus you'd get OP's posting deliberately inflammatory or offensive repsonses to anyone that disagreed then closing their thread.

I understand the suggestion, but I agree because off the top of my head would likely lead to post and run issues. There are 4 wonderful UM's so users getting help to remove a thread should'nt be hard 😉

I can see the merits of it....but I also know that folk are generally bloody idiots.....so things have to be done at the speed of the slowest vessel. Some here are barely afloat 🤣

I can't say I've ever seen him allow or encourage racism. Can you give examples of when he's allowed racism or encouraged it? I've also never seen him call someone a retard.
