Girls Chat Mod
Staff member
We see a lot of stupid comments about under aged mods here on forums and in the girls room. I thought it is time for someone like myself to address this.

I have been a regular chatter for over8 years and a mod on and off for most of that time. I first modded a chat room when I was 14. I was made a mod of girls chat when I was nearly 16 (so 15).

I was for quite a while the only underaged mod in girls chat (under18). So I have experienced everything our two under 18s mod especially Fi are experiencing ( and more ).

My first observation is this. Under 18stend to be among our best ******** and smartest ******** at spotting problem ********. They tend to act more mature than many adults. Iwas quite shocked seeing some adults actions in chat. Also was shocked how uninformed and incapable of dealing with certain chat issues many adults are compared to our teens. Our under 18s create alot of fun and clean content. The room is pretty much aimed at them and they certainly claim ownership of the room. Do we get some naive under 18s, of course, but we get way more naive over 18s too.

As an under aged mod I found myself being the go to person for the under 18s. Many feel more comfortable talking to someone their age about chat issues especially sensitive issues. I was able to build trust with the girls in a way an adult would have struggled with. There were many positive results because of this relationship building including catching some of the worst of the worst and having them removed. Our new under 18 crew have taken on this mantle now.

I know Karina sees this as we used to talk about it back in the day, especially when we were both being treated terribly. So I know its her policy now to have a balance of younger and older staff. We have teens , 20s , 30s and 40s staff members all capable people. I am not sure how old Karina is but we suspect its about 1500 years old.

The staff all back each other up in difficult moments. We all talk to each other when its required. Any thought that any of our staff don't get back up or are not protected as they should be is laughable. FiFi has been especially attacked and stalked and I know she gets the support she needs in the room. Its certainly a stark contrast to the past in the room.

This idea that the staff and especially underage inexperienced staff are somehow adversely affecting the room is not backed up by the facts. For the 1st time since I joined the room we are seeing real growth. At best before we were stable gaining ******** as we lost them. We are now retaining more than the natural losses and most who leave now do so because of real life not because of bs in the room like before. I get people from other rooms saying we are the best run room with the best staff. We also have very few staff complaints compared to many other rooms, and 99% of complaints are from male trolls or pervs.

I am not saying we are perfect and there is not any complaints in the room, no group of humans get on perfectly well all the time. But its pretty clear we are a very happy room in general.

A comment on FiFi. She is our youngest staff member and easily our most active mod. She is a very good mod. I have noticed she is open to constructive criticism from those of us who have more experienced. She is clearly wanting to learn and do her best by the room. If she stays long enough I would suggest she is a potential admin one day. She puts up with the crap very well. Rarely if ever shows anger in the room. Does she make mistakes? Of course no one never makes mistakes but they are rare and not major.

I never see any complaints about FiFi from our younger brigade.

Thanks for that well thought out and articulated post.

I can see both the pros and cons of having -18 staff. I agree that -18 staff can bring energy and fun and may be more in tune with what is currently going on in the -18 world and culture. I also think many -18 chattters feel more comfortable talking to -18 staff about problems they may be experiencing in the room. Those are definitely pros.

For me, some of the cons are that there are some extremely disturbing content the room staff have to deal with. I don’t think it’s good for the -18 staff to have to deal with that. Especially cp. Additionally, there are some disturbing people that staff have to deal with. Some -18 staff may not have the life experience or emotional development to deal with those type of people.

So for me, it is incredibly important that the room admin do a very thorough job of vetting any -18 mod candidate before giving them that responsibility. And not only that, but they need to insure that they provide adequate, ongoing support for that moderator and should do regular check-ins to assess how that -18 staff is doing and make sure that their mental and emotional health is not being negatively affected.

(Before the -18 come after me with torches and pitchforks, I think the above is important to do for all staff, not just -18) ✌🏻

fortuantly its very rare seeing graphic cp in Girls Chat.

Vetting is important for many reason one being can the person handle the stress of some of the issues we face, we are lucky with our staff in this regards.

Very glad to read that 😇

Agreed. And that’s true for all staff. Adults are just as susceptible to stress as are -18.

Thank you vot the vote of confidence @ZombiUnicornis, as a young mod in Girls i have seen and interacted with the younger users in chat, and they have said to me they are more comfortable coming to mods there age compared to the older staff.

Yes i have made mistakes, im only human, but i learn and grow from them to be a better team member

And lastly it is common for us mods in Girls to ask each other opinion on issues when they are multiple of us staff on

I just want to add a quick little comment to reiterate what Ive said in a previous post.

Im very proud of the mod team in Girls Chat. They have made being admin just an absolute joy.

I have no favorites, but I do want to point out I am extra proud of @AussieFiFi and job she has done. I had my reservations, as she knows, prior to promoting her but I firmly stand behind my decision and with the most confidence I can say it paid off big time.

Her dedication to the room, its joy, its fun, its happy atmosphere, and well being is seen each and every day. As @ZombiUnicornis mentioned in this thread, FiFi has allowed for there to no longer being a gap in comfortability for he younger chatter approaching staff. I believe this is an aspect of modding that doesnt get enough light.

As stated above also, nobody is perfect, even me (Crazy I know, right?) 😛

P.S. I saw you call me old @ZombiUnicornis !! 🤬🤣

I thank u for giving me the chance to be a part of the team, you and the other members are family to me

As someone who was treated very poorly as an under 18 mod across 3 different rooms (mostly by the former admins), I can attest to the fact that some very old school adults just don’t want to be told “no” by a person younger than them. They’re of the archaic mindset of ‘children should be seen and not heard’ and ‘I can treat you like shit because I’m old and entitled’.

These types of people generally think it’s ok to break the rules in front of and ignore the directions of staff under 18. And from experience, a lot of the time they are usually the type that think it’s ok to be abusive towards us, because we’re young.

@! Burnt Pizza Corey, please stop trolling me with your unwelcome and unwarranted attention, you creepy old fuck.

None of what I said was aimed at you, so if you feel personally offended, it must mean you have a guilty conscience? As someone who creeps around a room meant for girls and tries to strike up conversations with them shows the kind of human trash you are.

He cant help himself mate.. he has a pathological need to drag people down to his level. His life sucks so he needs everyone to have a sucky life. He will be banned on forums soon enough.

Just on something FiFi said. The current staff environment is as good as any I have encountered. It is a team.

Those kinds of people usually don't listen to adult mods either lol.

In my opinion, the solution is simple: separate rooms by age group and gender. A room for teenage girls, a room for adult women. A room for teenage boys, and a room for adult men.

Teenage girls should stay with each other so they can discuss topics common to their age group. The same goes for boys. Adult women can have their own space to discuss more mature topics, just like adult men.

If the person is male and over 18, they should be in the men's room. If they are under 18, they should be in the teenage boys' room. The same rule applies to girls: if they are under 18, they go to the teenage girls' room; if they are over 18, they go to the adult women's room.

The CM just needs to create these clear divisions. That way, adult women who do not identify as lesbians will have a suitable space, and adult men who do not identify as gay will have their own space as well. What doesn’t make sense, and seems like laziness on the part of the CM, is allowing teenage girls to be in rooms with adults. This problem is easy to solve.

With this organization, anyone who disrespects the age and gender rule could be banned, preventing the same discussion from coming up again in two months.

None of it is easy to solve. Why? Because people - males especially - pretend to be a different sex/gender. and pretend to be younger, too, also. The only way to solve it would be to require everyone to show photo ID when signing up. There is no easy way to solve the problems of human people lying, and also being dumb-ass trolls - on an anonymous chatsite.

Also, as Pinky said -
Damn. If only we had Kids Chat, Teen Chat, Girls Chat, Boys Chat and Adult Chat. What a genius idea! 🤨

Seraphim - you need a room all to yourself.

Even if some people lie about their age or gender, it's still possible to find out the truth — whether through voice calls, photo analysis, or other verification methods. Most catfish in lesbian chat rooms end up getting exposed. There are always ways to handle these situations, as long as there’s a real willingness to do so.

It’s clear that the girls don’t want men in that space — and they don’t want unrelated adults either. What they want is a safe, exclusive environment for themselves. That’s why only the Admin and moderators should be adults in that room, since those roles carry a lot of responsibility and are exposed to constant toxicity.

So when a teen chatter has an issue but doesn’t want to talk to an adult mod about it, what do they do?? Think about that, we need teen mod in girls so when problems like that happen, they have someone there age to talk to
