Abortion vs Suicide vs Capital Punishment

well there ya go.

One says, it is reasonable or just; to put someone to death for a heinous crime, others will obviously for usually religious ( Roman Catholic ) reasons say no they need the chance to be redeemed.

Abortion is a fun topic because ya got the two sides usually thinking only emotionally, womans body, her choice vs the right to life, all life is precious ( while at the same time both sides seem to forget what about the guy who helped create the child doesn't he get a choice in the matter and both sides are like no).

But, when it comes to suicide, all of a sudden there is this societal agreement that it is a no no your life matters dont end your life, it is a long term answer to a short term problem. when it isn't like the person who is contemplating it just woke up one day and is like ya know what i really dont want to live anymore. it is a very long slow burn of life problems that leads one to that decision that a lot of people do not take into consideration.

why is it, out of the three, there is more of an agreement against suicide than there is the other two?

Oh this is an easy one. Emotional bonds create the want to stop people from committing suicide. It goes beyond ethical or scientific or religious reasons.

Also a massive amount of people at some point in their lives experience severe mental illness from one thing or another. Whether it is abuse, untimely death of a loved one, heartbreak, naturally or chemically induced chemical imbalance, physical illness or pain, PTSD for soldiers and emergency responders or police, ect. The list goes on and on. Or they helped someone through it. So I'd imagine there's a lot of empathy and sympathy.

Also the other two have big grey areas. Some people think the morning after pill is abortion or a woman who will die if she carries the baby aborts while many others don't, but the others might disagree with abortion at a certain point like late term or something. Capital Punishment has been proven not to deter murder at all and it also depends on the murder. I think a gangster who murders another gangster over territory is different from a man killing his wife so he doesn't have to pay alimony or in the heat of the moment. Also many people have been executed who were completely innocent. This last one gives me the chills personally.

And the men do have an option when it comes to abortion. They can leave or stay.
