Adult Mobile Guest Room - Best Change Yet

It's nice to see a good change happening. It's been a couple hours and the change in the main chat is night and day since guests are being diverted into a side room specifically for them.

Not only does it look better and it's easier to actually chat, it'll make staff's tasks so much easier. Guest bot PMs are basically nonexistent in the main room and keeping up with the scroll of the room is manageable now. Thank you for making a noticeable impact on chat. Please make this happen across all the rooms. 🍰

Hi, if you mean Adult Chat Desktop, you should thank the site owners, the staff didn’t do it lol. But glad to hear it’s helpful. And thank you for a positive thread about the site 😇
 
It hasn't been changed on Desktop... yet. Let's hope it's all rooms! Yes, this isn't something staff did, it's higher up, and I'm glad things are being addressed and tested.
 
Yeah. Mobile has the default room and then a separate side room that guests are automatically diverted into now. Hopefully this happens for Desktop soon. There are essentially no guests (other than those that haven't logged out yet or been kicked since this morning) left in the default room on Mobile now.

This is very telling on how impactful to the spam, guest accounts are. The change will hopefully show that even restricting the amount a guest account can type, will impact the enjoyment of the chat room and allow for a much more efficient moderation of every room, especially the higher populated ones.

Also quite interesting to see just how many guest accounts to user accounts there is with the room split.
 
i just logged into DT and mobile as guest and was diverted to any of the guest rooms i logged into main room in both
 
Not me. On Mobile, if I try to log in as a guest, it first takes me to the lobby. It won't let me join the main room because guests aren't allowed. It only allows me to enter the Guests Allowed room, which isn't the main room. 🍫

You'll always have guests coming in as fake accounts who will then be the new face of "guests" in any and all rooms if the ability is removed.

You can also easily fake emails and register accounts with "one-off" emails also.

Good idea though.

What would be furthermore welcoming are more tools to all busy rooms (400+ users) to further weed out patterns of illegal activity (this would require software customisation if not already present) and more permissions to some room admins bar the video chat room/cam chat that has an entirely different setting base - it's actually a better software to ban and weed out shifty behaviour.
 
So while I completely understand wanting to cut down on spam, and stupid annoying users, and such by preventing guest accounts from joining certain rooms, I'd like to play the devil's advocate for a moment and just say it's a bit inconvenient, at least for me I guess. I have a registered account but I tend to accept messages from everyone, registered user and guest alike. I've met a lot of cool people who were just on guest accounts. I know a lot of people don't like guests and will ignore them and stuff, but since I did talk with them, the adult chat room for me has gone from being around 1.2k+ users average to now like ~500 users spread out through three rooms.

If it were up to me, I'd still keep everyone in the same room by default so the pool of potential people to talk with is still large, but limit guest in another way. If the goal here was to make it so registered accounts didn't have to be bothered by guest, just add an option to auto-ignore guest messages or something.

Just my two cents.

You can still find your friend in the adult chat guest allowed room .user can log in there but guest can't log in the adult chat room. The setting has been done that way. And as for numbers in individual rooms, I guess it doesn't matter to the owner as it's the total count of entries the chat room that matters .
