Have actually held and patted a Quokka on Rottnest Island in Western Australia. They are adorable.
Some kids have abused them in the past during schoolies (end of year celebrations for last year high school kids). The term 'Quokka Soccer' is well known in those parts. The name might be funny but the abuse of these animals is definitely NO laughing matter! People have actually been charged by police for doing as much!
I'm praying you don't mean high-schoolers kick Quokkas like a soccer ball! My heart is sinking! :brokenheart::crying:How can anyone sink so low and do that?!
They appear to be very tame as there are many more kinder, gentler people who take selfies with them!

Yeah afraid so. High school kids and Uni students from what I've read and heard. Kids just being kids, but it's bloody stupid and breaks my heart too!
