Samwise has no backbone and has let this room go to complete ****. Although, CM has all his admins’ noses right up his ass…they will do whatever he commands to keep their precious admin positions.

community culture flows down...trickles...it starts from the top...if it's shitty up top...with complacence...double speak...micro management...non-transparency...gaslighting...then everything that follows is just as toxic. that's a start.

Then actually care about your users. Make a difference for them in the same way they make a difference for each other.

inspire them to be members of the community instead of just being here because it's part of their unpaid labour.

just some thoughts

I would find an admin that knows How to stand up to and deal with the incessant trolls that continue to wreck the chat experience of other users however, I don’t think there’s anything an admin can do to fix this place….CM Should make the room 18+, but then his paedophile buddies don’t have a playground to hunt in, so that likely won’t happen.

He's a narcissist and thought it was about him because he's insecure. This is the only thing he uses when criticized, the users numbers. Most are guests, users who never post. Quality over quality which is why Music Chat not only blew up but took some of their VIP members.

I lost interest in chatting in General a few months after HR took over. I really question his character. Also all he does is gaslight and talks around an issue.
I would consider modding a room even lesbian chat just to get to mod forums and take the piss out of him.

Funny thing is if there was actually 500 users chatting in that room at once you couldn't read what was being posted . you take the # of users in the main chatting doesn't compare to the # on the list and I know a said few chat in PM's only but , seriously . That's just my 2 cents worth

There were 135 ish in classic, General Chat . 565 (which is what one of the Gen mods saw not long ago,) is quite high for us. I don't know how many guests are bots, but I did a random sample , I message 10 guests randomly. I got 7 replies.

Not a huge sample, but could extrapolated to 350- 400 actual users then. Which is triple what it was in the prior administrations and mod teams.

(Room numbers is one one objective measurement of engagement. VIP purchases is another. The other is subjective- but feedback from room users are not typically complaining about the same issues a particular forums group does. There are 260000 forums accounts, and half a dozen habitually see general chat as " doomed"

The biggest complaint I hear from users who seem to have no axe to grind is about pesky guests and people wanting a way to block them longer.

edited: Adult chat and Teen had much larger numbers yes, and Girls chat is doing very well also.

TLDR? 6-7 l of 260000 forums accounts say the sky is falling, The feeback in room and numbers overwhelmingly suggest otherwise.

The adult link spammers act like bots but they're not automated and them responding doesn't change anything if their purpose of being there are to spam pms or main.

You certainly are hung up on the fact you think people care that much about you they havea motive or to grind axes!

Again you have avoided the real issues in the chat by stating numbers of people in the chat with 90% pedos, old men pretending to be teens and spammers. You can sit in General Chat for ten minutes and watch and 90% of the type is either asking for sex or asking for kid porn/sex. I am well aware you do not see this as a problem as the so called numbers are high!

The real problems are the ones you refuse to face daily are the exploiting and sexual abuse of so called teens and women at the hands of people you deem appropriate to be in the room. Wake up this has nothing to do with any axe to grind its a plea to clean the room up but just like your ego you are unable to see for what it is instead you blame "oh they clearly have an axe to grind" I for one would not want to be proud of a volunteer positon of admin that holds so tight to control he is not able to see it for what it really is.

all the rooms are garbage absolutely 100% garbage, {@Chatmaster has zero interest in cleaning up this site in any manner that would be significant because there is no financial gain for him first and foremost } He and his staff would have to put in at worst, one week of work, to make the changes necessary so this website is safe and secure. As for moderators, they will always be a hit or miss, they are the same shmucks as anyone else. The bullshit warnings are a waste of time and they are required to follow those rules, when in reality the link about the TOS/ chat rules, should be considered the warning. Drop the bullshit chat room warnings, just hit the two-minute mute, and go up from there.
