Are inactive Volunteers a disservice to the community

In any online community, the role of moderators is crucial ro maintaining a healthy environment. When moderators become inactive, they fail to address issues promptly, leading to an increase in toxic behavior and a decline in overall user experiences.

Inactive moderators create an atmosphere of impunity where users feel they can get away with inappropriate behavior. Without active moderation, trolls and spammers are left unchecked, resulting in a toxic environment.. This not only drives away existing members but also deters potential new users from joining the community.

Having inactive moderators is undoubtedly a disservice to any community. Their absence allows for toxic behavior to thrive while hindering conflict resolution.

So someone explain to me why this community is constantly being given the answer " they're volunteers" "any time they volunteer is good enough" when we have volunteers that show up 15 mins once a week. Why is this our standard? The only thing standardizes is a shitty community.
