I'm going to make this fairly clean cut, as my generation has a 2 second attention span.

Please do not create threads saying you need a mod in the room. For one, if we're on Forums - we're probably already in the room, so it's really ineffective. For two, it's my understanding that it's not only pointless but annoying as all hell.

So, if you want to ask us to log on, consider following the usual advice we give in these situations instead of making a thread:
1. Block and Report. Us mods go through all the reports when we log on! We'll most likely see it and handle it!
2. Block and Report. We aren't your lap dogs. We volunteer, we are not paid. Snapping your fingers at a volunteer is how you no longer have a volunteer.
3. Block and Report. If you can't see it, it won't hurt you.

Making a thread over standard Chat-Avenue Unfortunaties is fairly annoying, to us mods and to UMs (I'm sure, but I don't want to put words in their mouth) and overall isn't effective.

Making a thread is absolutely not policable by Boys Chat moderators, I have no official ruling on this, but I have opinions and like you I have the right to express them politely.

If you have a very serious report about a USER OR VIP being a predator and you have proof - by all means, make a thread. This is aimed at the "mods plz log on we need halp" threads, that usually consist of 10 reports of the most tame stuff we deal with.

Again, guests being creepy? Worth a report and Block. Not an entire thread that is the virtual equivalent of snapping your fingers at a waiter/waitress. User admitting to predatory behavior with substantial evidence? WORTH A THREAD.

Very clean cut. Please stop this rubbish, I personally don't see those threads half the time even WHEN I'm directly pinged, and I'm on the room more often than I check Forums.

Thank you for your respect in this matter.

Smh we only asked for moderators when it was needed.. yall act like we don't wait for hours ...

I have school duties from 5am to 3pm. I have numerous chores and family obligations from 3pm to 4pm. From 4pm to 8pm is my job. From 8pm to 9pm I'm getting ready for bed.

Which should I sacrifice in order to make YOU happy? Think about that. I am sacrificing my time to make you lot safer, and in return I get a handful that spit in my face and another handful that feel I owe them more than an hour a day.

I'm unpaid. I have responsibilities, duties. I know a chunk of the mod team has college, some are working multiple jobs. We agreed to help you all but we aren't organized nearly enough (because we're volunteering!) to have round-the-clock moderation.

Things happen, life happens, we as mods go through the same crap you all go through, we don't always want to spend 4 hours monitoring a room.

But I will say this for certain: Making threads expecting us to log on because you said so, disrespecting us because you feel we aren't on enough (when some of us are nowhere near your time zone), and treating us like we aren't people? Abhorrent behavior.

I log on when I can to clear the queue. When I do, there's less than 20 reports. Every time. I know it can be more, but ******** aren't reporting when stuff goes down and some expect us to log on every minute. If the room is in desperate need, why are there less than 20 reports and 10 total kicks.

Block and report. That's the only effective way.

This'll be my last reply to you specifically as I feel I've addressed the concerns multiple times now.

Yes, but this isn't a paying job like customer support. There's plenty of times when mods in other rooms aren't on and all Hell breaks lose. It's best to take screenshots, send to @NorCal And log out until it's fixed if ignoring doesn't help. Mods are more likely to log onto the room first than forums and many only use them when they have to answer threads.

I see what you mean but I also see what OP means. Some threads I've seen have people demanding a mod logs on, as if they gotta drop everything to log on.

Understand 💯. Thank You for seeing it both ways.

As of screenshots I will try my hardest to do. Ty for the positive feedback.✨️
