Knowing that numbers in chat names don’t always refer to ages, I saw a chatter with 16 at the end of their chat name but wanted to confirm its meaning before reporting them so I asked “Age 16 or dress size 16?”

They replied “Age” to which I replied “in an 18+ chat room?”

I reported the chatter but I was kicked with reason given “asking for UA. Andy UKAge 16 or dress size 16?”

If CA allows user names with 16 at the end, which could relate to anything, why kick people for trying to clarify before reporting?

If I was really asking for UA, why would I have reported a chatter who was UA?

Moderators: you need to do better!!

Hello Andy. You were actioned based on the context of the conversation and your action history with UA references. Please be much more mindful of how asking the way you asked, could be taken when the full conversation is looked at. We cannot just action someone because they have a Number at the end, unless they admit its their age, if this user did that, they would have been actioned as well.

Your kick was 2 hours, there is aprox 1 hour remaining, I have lifted the kick for you.

Makes sense, Drock. Thanks.

To the OP, we do appreciate you reporting violations in the room and we also appreciate you giving us feedback. And hopefully you will hear our feedback to you as well.
