Banned for Spam?

I was banned yesterday and the reason was spam which I don't understand?

I was just privately chatting to a friend. Admittedly I did use words which usually get blanked out. I was telling her about erotic literature and recommended one which was good but it had dark themes in it which make it a hard read. These dark themes I shouldn't have written.

However it's been over 24hrs which makes me think it's a serious ban?

My username at the time was Detailed-rp. I was in the adult chat room
