Banned for spamming but believe it's a mistake

Hello moderators/admins,

I was banned yesterday and believe it was a mistake. I was not posting in the main chat at the time. I was replying to a PM I received, with about 2 lines of text, but perhaps the system mistakingly flagged my reply as spam? I've been a user on chat ave for a long time and never had a problem or broken any rules before. Here is more info:

Username: Liquidlogic
Room banned from: general chat
Issue: ban. No timeframe given. Reason mentioned was spam. No admin contact etc was provided

I believe this is a mistake, as mentioned above, and had no intention of spamming. I'm not sure if my IP address was similar to someone else being banned at the time? In any case I would really appreciate it if the ban could be lifted. I have never broken the rules before and certainly had no intention of doing so. Thank you for your consideration of my request
 
Hi there. It sounds like you received a spam ban. Although one might think that this is for spamming since it's literally in the name, it actually means that something you said was recognized by the system as a banned word and you were banned accordingly. @Ness_eb has tagged the admin of the room, who will be able to view the text you said and lift your ban if whatever you said was harmless. Wait patiently and @H.R. PufnStuf will be with you as time allows.

Oh no! Didn't intend for that at all. I don't remember what I said exactly but yes if this could be resolved and forgiven would really appreciate that. Thank you for the quick reply!

The spam filter works most of the time, but occasionally chätters get caught in the net. As an example, if the word "good" was banned and you said something like "Go oddly," it would pick up your message as spam and ban you. Obviously "good" isn't actually part of the spam filter and only dangerous or advertising words are, but the same premise applies. @H.R. PufnStuf will be able to see what you said that triggered the spam ban. Assuming you didn't break any rules in your message, he'll be able to lift the ban and get you back to chatting.
