banned for spamming when I never speak in main chat

was logged in , someone messaged me with a message implying they were wanting to RP and I told no I was busy and not interested as I was about to send them another message as to why he even message me like that I got a Banned for Spamming message . I am lost at what I did wrong . Please soomeone in power explain to me
