hey, I got banned for no reason and was hoping to appeal it here.
My account (hot16) was banned from the teen room for "catfish + spam" when I reported a user for telling me to "**** off"
I reported the user for abusive language.
If my message was flagged as "spam" because I might have messaged that user before, why didn't that user just block me if they find me annoying?
It is impossible to keep a list of people I PM who do NOT reply. It is hard enough to remember the fun people I talked to.
As far as the photo, my parents don't let me have a cell phone/camera, so I just use a photo of someone who looks like me.
There is no option to make a caption to say the photo is a look alike.
Considering people use photos of cartoons as their profile photo, I feel me using a look alike as a photo is totally within that usage.
I feel the ban is not justified because I was trying to be nice and help the moderators out by reporting an abusive language post and, instead, I get banned when I did nothing wrong?
The reason I reported the user was to both help the mods out and because I HATE accounts that are not real and it was unclear if that account was programmed just to try to piss me off, so I wanted to remove it if it was not real.
I have no idea which mod/admin banned me as that was not included in the screen that informed me my account was banned.
The mod initially just gave me a 2 hour kick around 1030 PM on May 21st Pacific time, but when I logged back in after the 2 hours were up, it said my account was banned.
Why was the kick upgraded to a larger penalty, when I obviously could not have said anything while my account was locked out?
I know you guys are busy, but I am super upset that I lost all my contacts, so I would be willing to work with the mods on just a longer kick if you guys feel I need a more serious punishment.
