OK, I'll admit I have a stupid user name. But it never got me into trouble until today, about an hour ago. I admit I play an (bad) actor. Most users are bad actors. My belief, 97% (including me) chat stupid, 2% chat sincere, with 1% just plan creepy. I used a stupid user name for 2 reasons. 1 is anyone who agrees to chat with me may expect for me to be raunchy, but I only go into character if asked about the name, with limits. So there are no surprises. If anything, I got people mad at me for not being raunchy enough. The 2nd, many people that made contact with me should actually be using the adult chat. So many of my chats are mellow compared to other ********. I have also personally reported user who made contact with me for having X rated pictures in their profile pics. I draw the line on that stuff! My character was actually like the respected mobster who was known in the community and it was just another day at the office. If my ban stays in effect, 97% of chat avenue users could be held and banned for the same reasons. (Which may not be such a bad thing)
Anyway, today I was engaged with 2 private chats. One was with a proper chat content mostly chatting about sports. The 2nd I admit may have led to the ban, as I was chatting with another fellow bad actor, with the chat being with consent, but was adult chat I'd admit. My ban said I was banned for spam. What spam? Now if the ban said that I was banned for content, I would take my medicine and except that yes, I should have kept the chat more implied and not have crossed that line. If the reason was for content, then I wouldn't be here now protesting my ban.
If you want for me to change my username, I will. If you lift the ban and let me keep my username, I will keep the chats more inline with the rules. Using the General Room allowed me to keep the character more as a non reality character. Using the adult Room people would actually think that I really was that character. I am not that character. My character on General was actually more mellow than shows/movies like Degrassi, Thirteen, and other raunchy shows. What got chatted about on chat avenue stayed on chat avenue. No socials or trying to meet people was my rule. Yes, I may have broke chat avenue rules, but I was just playing a character.
My username was Pimp_. Yes, a very stupid username. Hopefully I can be reinstated with better chat limits conducted. If the ban stays, I ask that the General Room ban the use of that name in any form. Maybe the ban was really in the best interest of both myself and Chat Avenue. But hopefully If I can't have this username reinstated, I can at least start fresh with a different username and different character.
And most of all, my apology to the chat avenue moderating team and administrator.
