Please can someone advise.
I was banned from the Adult Chat room, reason was Spam. I have no idea why. I've used this chat site for years. I've met some lovely people. I'll be absolutely devastated if I'm banned completely. Besides using a forward slash in giving my height to a guy (I'm 30, he is 32) when describing myself, I can't think of anything else. I'd really appreciate help/review. If I shouldn't give my height in centimetres, then that is my mistake.

  • Are you complaining about a kick or a ban? Ban
  • What was the reason given for the kick/ban? - spam
  • How long was the kick/ban for?* - I'm not sure
  • Why do you feel the kick/ban was not justified? - I got the notification after sending a message in a private chat, I was trying to tell him my height (describing ourselves), I used a forward slash between the numbers and I think that's was what I did wrong
  • Date and approx. time of kick/ban: 07 July 2025, approx 22:15
  • Do you know the name of the Moderator/Admin that kicked/banned you? No

No bother. I believe the way you typed the numbers into your post is what caused the filter to ban you. You typed:
“Im 1.6'7, dark brown hair, white, hazel eyes…..”

Are you saying you meant to type 167cm?

Yes! That's exactly it, normally I'd say 5'5, but I was chatting with another south african, so I wanted to say 167cm. Thank you for responding so quickly, I really appreciate it.
Would there be a possibility that the ban would be lifted? I've used Chat Avenue for so many years, I would be really sad if I couldn't return. I should have paid more attention when typing the message.
 
I understand. Since you have an otherwise clean record and it appears you are from South Africa where they use cm, and 167cm is 5’ 5.7” it seems to be a reasonable explanation. Your ban is lifted and please be more careful typing numbers in the future. Happy chatting 😎
