Being a photographer i not only shoot model portfolio type images but i shoot generally people of all kinds....
I have found that most younger guys could careless about getting a picture taken....Where women really like to be beautiful and love that captured in a picture.....Older men however are much more willing to be photographed and older women say no..They think they are wrinkled and not photogenic at all......
Photography is about light and composition those two things.....A GOOD photographer can get great images of anyone regaurless of gender or age or build....There is beauty in everyone you just haveto know how to draw it out...
And some people have very low self esteem.....I met a woman who was 73 and I wanted to get a picture of her and she said she was not photogenic....She had amazing eyes and i told her as much to which she just rolled her eyes....It was not the beauty of youth that i was refering to but her eyes clearly stood out and THAT will make for a great image.....
There is a direct link with self esteem and beauty......I have worked with one person who i was able to lift her slef esteem with the images i got of her......When you have more self esteem it changes how you think and how you carry yourself and how you interact with others....
Beauty is there in everyone it's just a matter of the right person to draw that out.....A photographer did a series of images of someone with downs syndrome.....The pictures were amazing......
