Bring swearing back to Kids Chat Ave

Frick and shizz.

These words help me cope with myself. I have a potty mouth. And have already been kicked several times for aggressive venting because yes, I do in fact use the f word quite frequently.

Personally, this is the only reason id like to se sit to as it only upsets me more at the time to end up getting kicked

which is why we need a separate room for the cussing cause some people might not want to hear it. so keep it seperate

It's harder for mods and REALLY hard for me (I'm Scottish...) as mods aren't censored and have to set an example. Blast it all to hell lol.

I can see why they did it but it's not a popular decision in the room.

I don’t think you should let a room made for children have swears in it. Kind of defeats the purpose of a room with supposed children in it, sus thread.

Do you imagine that we don't swear in everyday life? My you've lived a sheltered existence.
Yeah I swore all the time as a kid, when I was with my friends and at school, i didn’t make it my entire persona and I certainly looked very unintelligent squeezing the f word after every other word, children swearing leads to toxicity among them, therefore I think it would be inappropriate to remove the censors. I haven’t lived a sheltered life whatsoever and I know what I’m talking about, if you can’t see where someone is coming from when they won’t let a room for supposed children swear you are obviously immature and shouldn’t be swearing in the first place.

You're the one bullyin the mod for her opinion not me 😭
Actually if you read it I never insulted anyone, not even after they said I’ve been sheltered my entire life. If you want to pull the mod card out for someone else then they should at least be as professional as you are presenting them as. I’m not bullying anyone I am stating my opinion. Criticism isn’t bullying.

if you can’t even debate properly it shows you have no intention to use a censor brushback other than to swear for no reason like an immature child. Exactly the type of behaviour that shouldn’t be openly condoned, let alone on the internet.

Actually swearing can be used intelligently and even affectionately. I'm Scottish and while it can be used cuttingly or as an insult, it's far more often used affectionately among friends. Use of swearing doesn't lead to toxicity in my experience. Also, if you think I'm immature then you don't know me at all - or my friends for that. You also obviously jumped straight in without reading any of the prior posts in the thread. If you had read them, you'd have seen that I said this:

In short, don't jump to conclusions or resort to assumptions.

I'll finish with a quote from Stephen Fry, a polymath and extremely erudite individual.

"Swearing is a really important part of one's life. It would be impossible to imagine going through life without swearing and without enjoying swearing... There used to be mad, silly, prissy people who used to say swearing was a sign of a poor vocabulary -such utter nonsense. The people I know who swear the most tend to have the widest vocabularies and the kind of person who says swearing is a sign of a poor vocabulary usually have a pretty poor vocabulary themselves... The sort of twee person who thinks swearing is in any way a sign of a lack of education or a lack of verbal interest or -is just a fucking lunatic... I haven't met anybody who's truly shocked at swearing, really, they're only shocked on behalf of other people. Well, you know, that's preposterous... or they say 'it's not necessary'. As if that should stop one doing it! It's not necessary to have coloured socks, it's not necessary for this cushion to be here, but is anyone going to write in and say 'I was shocked to see that cushion there, it really wasn't necessary'? No, things not being necessary is what makes life interesting -the little extras in life."

We aren't elementary schoolers. Everyone on here should be exposed enough to swearing where it shouldn't be a problem, and if someone's so sensitive to the point where they get offended by the word sht then they shouldn't be on the internet at all. IMO.
