WHOA tl;dr and also nice copy paste from other people, fight your own battles if you want to be so matureActually swearing can be used intelligently and even affectionately. I'm Scottish and while it can be used cuttingly or as an insult, it's far more often used affectionately among friends. Use of swearing doesn't lead to toxicity in my experience. Also, if you think I'm immature then you don't know me at all - or my friends for that. You also obviously jumped straight in without reading any of the prior posts in the thread. If you had read them, you'd have seen that I said this:
In short, don't jump to conclusions or resort to assumptions.
I'll finish with a quote from Stephen Fry, a polymath and extremely erudite individual.
"Swearing is a really important part of one's life. It would be impossible to imagine going through life without swearing and without enjoying swearing... There used to be mad, silly, prissy people who used to say swearing was a sign of a poor vocabulary -such utter nonsense. The people I know who swear the most tend to have the widest vocabularies and the kind of person who says swearing is a sign of a poor vocabulary usually have a pretty poor vocabulary themselves... The sort of twee person who thinks swearing is in any way a sign of a lack of education or a lack of verbal interest or -is just a fucking lunatic... I haven't met anybody who's truly shocked at swearing, really, they're only shocked on behalf of other people. Well, you know, that's preposterous... or they say 'it's not necessary'. As if that should stop one doing it! It's not necessary to have coloured socks, it's not necessary for this cushion to be here, but is anyone going to write in and say 'I was shocked to see that cushion there, it really wasn't necessary'? No, things not being necessary is what makes life interesting -the little extras in life."
That’s not the question at hand, being Scottish has nothing to do with swearing and vocabulary. It’s simply an environmental thing.I agree with emileh when she says it’s harder for her not to swear with being Scottish.
Because c*nt is a term of endearment in Scotland but it offends a lot of people (good!)
And quite honestly, a lot of people are c*nts irrespective of their age.
The op is one
That’s funny that you’re condoning “children” to troll because offending people is “good” can you image the issues that would arise from letting a chat made for “children” on the internet have a wide variety of swear words and derogatory slanderous statements at the ready whenever they please? Sounds like a recipe for disaster which is exactly why this thread will go unanswered and collect dust within the forum server. BAD IDEA. End of story.Because c*nt is a term of endearment in Scotland but it offends a lot of people (good!)
Those were my own words apart from the Stephen Fry quote at the end which I said was a Stephen Fry quote...WHOA tl;dr and also nice copy paste from other people, fight your own battles if you want to be so mature

I don’t read stupid posts. You think children should be able to swear. No amount of sentences should or can change that. I don’t need to waste time reading that because I know I don’t agree with it. I can fit all my arguments in one paragraph or less. If you can’t it seems like a skill issue and you just want to compensate by making a big post acting like the bigger your post is the more logic and ground it holds. Those were my own words apart from the Stephen Fry quote at the end which I said was a Stephen Fry quote...
What I said was:
So where exactly wasn't "I fighting my own battles"? Do explain because that looks like a cogent argument to me.
Perhaps you should try reading the posts?

Then you cannot carry an argument or debate.I don’t read stupid posts. You think children should be able to swear. No amount of sentences should or can change that. Quotes are a part of reasoned argument/debate.I have yet to quote anything. If you want to be an adult so much why don’t you find your own argument and closing statement rather than relying on the first search result you found or just some quote you found while vying for an excuse to have such a horrid vocabulary.
Oh yeah I can. You laughing and saying I’m not good is only your opinion or people that agree with you AKA bias. I’ve yet to hear any actual points about why children should be allowed to swear other than you’re Scottish and some quote from a guy you probably know little about. Then you cannot carry an argument or debate.
You really AREN'T good at this are you? 🤣
It seems you don’t know how a debate works. But let’s go with your example. Everything under an argument must be quoted by someone else otherwise it means nothing.Quotes are a part of reasoned argument/debate.
It seems you've got a bit to learn.
Also the fact that you’re replying to my personal thread aswell as this one shows you are just incompetent and want some little toxic zone where you can act like some edgy weirdo swearing up a storm. That’s not gonna happen and you can try and argue with me all you want but at the end of the day I don’t even make the decision so you shouldn’t be crying to me about being immature.Quotes are a part of reasoned argument/debate.

You like using the word 'toxic' with no basis to do so. Are you becoming angry? Would you like to take a break to calm down? I'm trying to be reasonable here but failing to understand your obvious rants. Also the fact that you’re replying to my personal thread aswell as this one shows you are just incompetent and want some little toxic zone where you can act like some edgy weirdo swearing up a storm. I love how now you’re acting snarky and snide because you’ve been fundamentally destroyed on every level of your crappy argument. Also if you swear so much how come you’ve not said a single curse word in this entire dilemma? Perhaps it’s as I said? An environmental thing…..Oh I know how debate works and I'm pretty good at it.
Want some lessons? Free of charge, no obligation...
Yes I have a basis to use the word toxic. Allowing “children” to swear is very toxic. It’s not something that should be condoned. Are you trying to gaslight me? Is someone angy? Maybe you need a nap or something. Perhaps dream of a world where you’re right. It’s not a rant it’s an argument* If it was a rant you wouldn’t be replying. Snarky? I just suggested you might like to take a break to calm down and marshal your thoughts. 🙂I love how now you’re acting snarky and snide because you’ve been fundamentally destroyed on every level of your crappy argument. You clearly don't understand the younger generation. I'm intrigued to hear your rationale for these claims and your cited sources for them.Yes I have a basis to use the word toxic.
