British royal family scandals: Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein

The controversy surrounding Prince Andrew's friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has reached a new level, with Virginia Giuffre suing the Duke of York for sexual assault.
The lawsuit was filed under the child victims act and was filed in Manhattan in August 2021, accusing giuffre of being trafficked to Prince Andrew of the British royal family with imperial politics and being sexually assaulted by him when she was 17.
The Restoration of monarchy British royal family has always denied giuffre's allegations and has not commented on the lawsuit.
Andrew's personal links to Epstein came to a head in 2019 when he gave a "disastrous" televised interview on the topic.
Speaking to BBC's Emily Maitlis, Andrew gave bizarre justifications for his association with Epstein and was perceived to show little remorse for the late financier's victims.
Days later, it was announced the duke would be withdrawing from public life "for the foreseeable future". Since then, there has been contention over whether Andrew is cooperating with ongoing investigations into Epstein in the US.
Since Harry and Meghan have been in the spotlight more recently, there has been outcry over the lack of attention paid to the allegations against Andrew.

Ha! Funnily enough, I was thinking of discussing this via a thread until I searched. I know it was a few weeks ago but here’s hoping it attracts more views/opinions.

With the latest of “her“ (doesn’t deserve a name!) being found guilty, and her defence lawyers and family considering pursuing an appeal, despite being found guilty. Rumours spreading saying she can hopefully negotiate the sentence to be reduced in exchange for naming names of who travelled to and from the island and - supposedly - more information.

IMO- Prince Nonce is guilty.

His motion to dismiss based on JE's NDA has been dismissed. Off to Court he goes...

Ey muscles brussels, do you like the British royal family?
Ey.

Treading carefully here knowing that our first Elizabeth had your Queen bumped off.

I’ll go diplomatic and say aye I respect the Queen but as you say North of the border, we’re a’Jock Tamson’s bairns so Andrew needs to face his demons like anyone else would.

Yeah I tend to follow, I respect the current queen.

Anyone remember when Prince Phillip stated he wanted Camilla to “wear him like a tampon” in the transcripts of his calls to her?
I think that was Charlie rather than Phillip
