if you were an ally you wouldnt be gatekeeping the trans commuity because they are just as vaild as anyone one else in the LGBT commuity
 
lgb people's words and action's can harm others in the community. having same sex attraction does not instantly make you a loving and accepting person. internalized homophobia is a widespread issue among gay, lesbian, and bi people, and it can make them feel bad about who they are and drive them to project hatred onto other minority groups. bi's face scrutiny from both sides, some in the gay community have harmful preconceptions about bi's, and they are often shamed by straights.

My view is that there are different things that affect L, G, B, T, I, and A and grouping us all together as the “non-conforming” doesn’t help much and in fact causes more conflict as we see even just in this thread. Grouping all together in itself is virtually a form of homophobia, transphobia and various other phobias.

Like it or not, usually people who leave out the T, r mor likely than not, against trans people. I mean there is a chance they arnt against trans people, but i predicted luka was against trans people based off just that, inductive reasoning would imply that people who dont put the T in LGBT dont see trans people as valid.

I'm not sure that's fair. I mean, you use LGBT and miss out the QIA, so by your reasoning you don't see questioning, intersexual, and agender as valid 🤔, not that Luke said anyone was invalid in any event (I don't think you believe that, btw @Girl power! - just using it as an example to show that the reasoning isn't right here imo)

You suspected he held the view, you induced the response you suspected you'd get and were upset by/took offence at it.

If you want to champion trans rights or any other cause, turn your energy to those who are actively going out of their way (irl and on here) to attack others, whether they're going after gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, man, woman, no gender, banana, rather than provoking a response that you won't appreciate from people who don't in fact proselytise their views.

My personal experience - One of my closest friends thinks being gay is something you choose/will grow out of, and is disguising blah blah blah but they don't shove their views in my face, they don't go out of their way to upset anyone intentionally but will say what they believe when asked and I respect that in the same way I respect Luka's views and your own, @Girl power!

First of all, the reason why dropping QIA isnt a big deal is that people arnt doing it with the purpose of opposing the existence of those people, they may even not be educated abt the existence of those groups, or just may be to lazy to add the letters. The reason why dropping the T does mor likely than not indicates that a person doesnt like trans people, is that there r anti trans groups who do use the LGB label, such as the LGB alliance.

Or groups like TERFs, but right now im too lazy to search for all of the examples in which they hav used the term with malicious intent. So thats the reasoning to justify my assumptions. Now secondly, the reason i ask people the question, is simply to confirm my assumption, nothing really more. Because there is always that one percent chance they arnt leaving out the T because they r anti trans, so i mean idk why me just asking the question is really a big deal. If i seemed to hav any kind of overdramatic response to the answer, it was simply for dramatic effect, because thats just part of my uniquness 🤪 but like idk why u seem to think im upset over it, im not new to the internet.
And thirdly, u seem to be confused on what my intents are, so i will clarify for u. Like i said, i ask people the question to simply confirm my assumption. Im not attacking these people nor am i looking to do that, unless im having a bad day and i need something to take my stress on. If u look at my comments, i havent really been engaging with alot of lukas comments at all, i may hav popped a joking remark or 2, but i havent rlly been engaging with any arguement, ive been acting passivly, and unless if they start attacking others, i hav no reason to waste my time on then except for some lols
 
Basically, an opinion, no matter how disagreeable or hurtful you might find it, is just an opinion. You cannot police people's opinions, or their thoughts, and if you can't handle debating with people on certain issues because you find them too upsetting, it's best you don't seek out that debate.
