Captcha for video chat

Those who use video chat have probably noticed the influx of bot accounts with webcams advertising other sites. Over the last couple of weeks it has gone from 1 bot account occasionally to more and more bot accounts 24/7 in chat. They get kicked and are instantly back again with a fresh name.

Maybe a simple captcha would do something about that, and also stop a good amount of the other bots that just sit in chat doing nothing. As a bonus, it might even raise the collective room IQ a little when the sex pests who are dumber than a box of rocks can't figure out how to select all the firetrucks on the captcha.

I'm pretty sure the captchas in other rooms are used to counter this and still are unsuccessful, i'm always with new ideas and trying new things but i'm sure if these are real bots in our room it won't be too difficult for the one making the bots to adjust them.

I also don't think anyone in our room is dumb or stupid. We all are somewhat unique in our own way, at the end of the day majority of us are just looking to relax and conversate after a long day so I agree on the bot thing but not your other comment.

You could make a system that is similar to captcha but it asks you 'What is the text in this photo?' and 'What is your favourite animal?'

You can also add like a 30 second delay before you can chat or open cam, which will break the bots. (When people go online, it goes online and messages them, only for it to go straight off. If there is a delay, it will put the bot out of time, and will break it. Also, you can add a mod verification where your stream has to be private until a moderator views it and approves it. This stops automated systems from displaying these things, and since the bot doesn't know when you are checking it, it can't calibrate the timing as to when to display the ads/other content

Yes. That can also be done. Good idea

Sounds like a great idea

Also, instead of a 30-second delay like I motioned, you could make it a 20-40 second delay on random so that the bots can't be configured.
