Singles chat and Gen chat. Both are plagued with mostly guests and bots, moreso Gen chat unless it's at a certain time of the day. Singles used to get over 200 people, now we're lucky to get over 100.

Ah ok. The only reason I asked is because for years I’ve seen people say Chat Ave is dying, Chat Ave will be shut down, etc. And yet it continues to thrive. If @CrayonBear meant singles/Gen then maybe a better title for this thread would be “Singles/Gen rooms seem to be dying”. 🤷🏻‍♂️

yes, as of now Singles/Gen rooms is dying and the other Rooms will eventually die. Its a slow process but it will happen, why ? Because the ******** who destroy chat rooms will spread to other rooms and infect them like parasects. I wont say ANY names but you know who you are.

I could add on another complaint about ‘ Power Hungry Mods ‘ that kill the rooms just as much but ill leave that for another day, i dont want to start a World War Lol. I think ive said enough so ill leave it as that

It honestly is dying if you look up the numbers. In it's prime when the original owner was around, it was worth 150k, now it's 50k, which is why the porn links were issued as well as putting them on profiles months later.

A few days ago, there were 451 users in General Chat. I don't ever remember it being any higher. People can have whatever opinions they want, but those opinions don't square up with reality. Those trumpeting the demise of General chat are usually the same ones who have very negative views of the site- usually for personal reasons or by posters who don't even go to them rooms. ( disgruntled ex staff, angry for prior bans, or other petty reasons)

Not long ago I counted over 50 VIP users - which is unprecedented in my memory here.

Maybe. I don’t know. But maybe part of the reason forum numbers are down (if they are) is the hostility and unnecessary rudeness that people like you exhibit. Some of the adults here like to have discussions about issues. The immature name calling and negativity make that difficult at times.

His long ban record speaks about him being outspoken, unlike you because you allow many of the things he posts about. I talk to one of the ex mods from Adult Chat off here and many things you guys allow. Someone kicked 15 times for pedophilia, what's going on? If CM allows it and won't ban, use your morals and quit. Its just a chat room and you should have morals.

Except that each situation is different. In this case, yes I could ignore you and that would solve my problem. Please don’t insinuate that Adult Chat moderators allow pedos. I’ve spent hours, days, months, and years of my own personal time removing pedos from the AC chat rooms. You have been around long enough to know that bans can be eluded. Once again, let’s let this thread get back to its topic.

It’s a public forum and people are allowed to comment when they want. Not everything has to be a battle. Normal adults are able to have discussions about issues without resorting to fighting, name calling and hostility. What you do isn’t “heat”. It’s personal attacks that violate the rules of the forum. As I’ve said multiple times, let’s let this thread get back to the topic at hand.

That’s a good point. I think there are many different reasons why the number of people in a chat room fluctuates. Time of year is definitely one of them. There’s also just the natural turn over and ebb and flow of people coming and going. I’m also not discounting the role the staff have in how a room is run. Especially in smaller populated rooms where the staff have more interaction with the ********. Moderators can definitely set the tone in rooms like that.

I mean I'm a mod on Boys Chat and I've seen the numbers fluctuate a tiny bit but they seem to be doing just fine. Not the most popular room here, clocking in at 200 members regularly, but I don't recall it being much bigger before... I have seen 300 users on site before but I'm pretty sure that's when I was added as mod, cuz everyone wanted to see the least favorite chatter be inaugurated 🤣🤣🤣

There has been a decline in the quality and quantity of the forum's users! (We defo need CLEMS0N)!

I used to see more than 25 + forum users online at any given time, but now it's like around 15-20 users. Maybe some of them are bots, but I know that many of the good people who were here have either left or were banned. Honestly, I hate to see that happen. This place will not survive if it keeps going on like this!

You are banning people and not opening new ideas or suggestions! Seem to me that you are with the ridgid and outdated vision on how this forum should be!

I have been around Chat Avenue a long time. This site has been declining for a while and most of it is because there is no longer an arcade to spend time in in case chat or forum threads get too boring. I have seen the numbers decline except maybe adult chat, a domain I fear to tread. But there seems to be a lot of spam and bots there which are driving up numbers.
The Difference has stated that he thinks forums are declining because of all the negativity. I hate to burst your bubble but forums are the same way. A thread like Cat kicked me in adult chat would get all the negative replies as to how mean and stinky cat with along with her supporters stating she is doing a great job. The only difference is the mods handing forums back then was more even handed.
I mean we have too many protected users here. There is one chatter who when upset can spam ten or twenty straight lines all in caps and blazing red font about how much she loves Trump and Jesus. In the old day someone spamming or instigating like that would get an infract whether it be friend or foe of the mod.
Also mods did not edit, delete at their own whim to mainly protect themselves or allies. Mods use to be able to deal with trolls in a manner which did not instigate other users wrath.
 
if i remember correctly Chat Avenue used to have a cam function right ? Ever since that has been removed and with the new upadate that made Chat Avenue rainbowy colorful with the username colors etc Lol. Because of that Chat Avenue has lost its numbers and there are still ******** now who want the cam function back, i do too. Back then there was way more users than there are NOW, less traffic too Lol. Less real people and more trolls haha isnt good for the chat site

You guys are something else. I literally just took ten seconds to look at Lukas page and lo and behold what do I find on page one? A conversation between him and a girl who moderates TEEN CHAT.

Further investigation finds that he has numerous FRIENDS from teen chat.

The projection is next level. Truly.

Not to mention screem openly flirts with Delanie in singles chat who was underage at the time they “met” and she constantly makes remarks about how they’ve spoken in detail privately over the years.

Cmon now guys, do better.

All these accusations, never any proof.

Why is it when facts are relayed, people use the defence of “bitter mod” etc?

It’s quite clear they’re not bitter- they’re standing by the peasant users ie non mods because they know how it works… because they are former mods/admins.

Not every previous member of staff as certain admins like to allude, are bitter. They just won’t be forced out.

Not one post from purplerose who you seem to have beef with have I ever seen her say she’s bitter about not being a mod. What I have seen however is 16+ years of dedication and actually calling the bluff of paedophiles and reporting them.

What more can a mod admin do when they are being blindsided by their so called fellow admins who condone the exact opposite of what she believed is morally right. And I thank her for that and I’m not even a singles reg; was just a mod in 2006.

New members will come once both forums and all chat rooms have a serious revamp.
