Clarification of Mod selection in girls chat

This is not a moan at any current mods! Basically as the the title says, how are mods in GC selected, do they apply or are they purely appointed by the admin. I ask as cogirl has stepped down (or not) and has been replaced by a former mod who quit the site way back but has suddenly returned with a badge!

No issues with the new mod it just seems far fetched that they applied and were appointed so quickly, they are experienced which is good, but just what is the process?

Pros and cons should always be weighed up, there should be a lot more pro's than con's. This could include things like sweets listed, along with kick and ban history, signs of good or bad judgment.

One person saying yes with no good reason to support it is not enough.

If someone has a good history, and a history of moding already and ticks most other boxes for being friendly and fitting in, it is an easy choice.

Adding to what @Sweetheart3783 and @Cuddles- said, shes been a member of Girls Chat for a very long time, well liked, and did a fabulous job as a moderator in the past. Though from what you said, I think you already know that 😁

Sometimes things move quickly and other times more on the slow side. What I can say is, staff selection is always weighed on various factors and shouldnt ever be done on a whim. This case was no different and its one I know will serve for the betterment of Girls Chat 🙂
