Complaint about Moderator 'Time Capsule' !

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express some concerns I have regarding the moderation of our forum. It has come to my attention that there has been an increase in inappropriate activity, particularly involving pedophiles, perverts and minors. As a member of this community, I find this behaviour unacceptable and believe it is crucial that we take action to address it promptly.

However, I understand that moderation is a task designated to specific individuals who are familiar with the system and protocols in place, which I of course I am not. While I am eager to help tackle this ongoing issue, I also recognize that I may not possess the necessary expertise or authority to effectively carry out moderation tasks. That being said, I cannot simply stand by and watch as these harmful behaviours continue to plague our forum, particularly those who may be vulnerable.

On top of that, I was disheartened by the accusations made against me during our recent interaction. Accusing me of "advertising" or "wasting your time" when I attempted to use the report system to address instances of inappropriate behaviour was both unjust and unwarranted. It is important to understand that my actions were motivated by a genuine concern for the welfare of our community, rather than any malicious intent.

Moreover, suggesting that I am attempting to abuse the report system undermines the seriousness of the issue we are facing. My only intention is to contribute to the efforts to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all members, particularly those who may be vulnerable.

I want to emphasize that my personal experiences with being taken advantage of in the past have made me acutely aware of the importance of addressing such behaviour proactively. I would never wish for anyone else to endure similar hardships, which is why I am committed to doing my part in addressing this issue within our forum.

Rather than focusing on my actions and going as far as to mute despite no rules being broken, I urge you to direct your attention towards addressing the root cause of the problem and implementing measures to prevent further instances of inappropriate behaviour.

Sometimes, trying to help creates more work for moderators who already have a lot to plough through. Hence, “mini modding” is usually seen more as a disruption than a help.

Which I understand, and that is not my intention but I feel there is a way to tell someone to stop instead of accusatory statements and labels. I felt a little disrespected and as an active member, it was a little unfair. I would have stopped immediately but it felt a little aggressive for zero reason. As someone who has managed a couple of other forums myself, I understand the whole mini-modding ordeal but I've never once reacted the way the previously mentioned mod reacted; was just unnecessary and immature. Just feel the assumption that this should be automatically known, is just weird.

You clearly fast-read over ( reading comprehension is key 🙂 ) what I said and what I said in that final message was not supposed to be disrespectful, it's called genuine concern that if a moderator may feel overwhelmed with the job at hand, consider stepping down or taking a break. Not the gotcha you think it is, my guy. I don't know "STFU you loser" has no intention of genuine concern or solving an attempt to solve an issue, not that you'd understand the difference anyway.

The issue of broadcasting who’s a pedo or what they are saying in main is that it does advertise who is who isn’t. The adults room have their issues with pedos and underage feeding into pedos for money or their own sick fetish.

In the busy rooms stuff is rapidly missed so you posting and acknowledging them gives them more chance to be seen.

They’re are some pedos who sit and wait to see who else is or what underage is seeking them to see more.

We all share a desire to put these disgusting creeps away but there is a process to do such. They aren’t jailed because you pointed out something in a chat. They are reported and investigated by law enforcement which can build a case and shut them down.

Any regular member of chat ave playing detective in most cases will never result to anything.
