crows are found in more places in the world than ducks, & most hostile places at that...

crows has more combat experience, having to battle all kinds of different animals to survive,

ducks live in a pond, & eat bread...

Terrain: Ducks have the ability to walk on land, swim, and fly, all very efficiently. As far as maneuvering goes, the duck would win because it can approach and escape its target more easily.
Duck wins.

Physical features: Ducks have a large, flat bill, whereas crows have a small beak. The bill can be used like a giant wooden board to knock out the crow, and then can be used to pull off the crow's head.
Duck wins.

Intelligence: Ducks are very intelligent, relentless, and focused animals. While crows have excellent memory, they are easily distracted by things that they've seen before, and they may change their target mid-fight. This would give the duck an advantage when it comes to fighting and focus.
Duck wins.

Verdict: Duck wins on three counts. 🦆

A hungry crow wouldn't pass on food if it had any chance to get to it. The only thing stopping it here is a grown up duck witch means the crow has no way to get trough that problem. The result: duck wins.

this is the aftermath of a duck after being attacked by a crow, this duck just as in the video was protecting it's eggs from a crow attack, & the attack didn't end until the duck's owner scared the crow off...

the success of the duck fending off a crow entirely depends on the level of desperation that crow is feeling for food, in the case of the photo above, the crow wasn't stopping until a human showed up to scare it away...

if that human never showed up, the duck would has been killed & rather than the eggs the crow would has eaten away at the corpse instead & leave the eggs to the elements...

all the crow has to do is wait for the duck to leave

have you seen the size of a fully grown crow's beak?

a simple g00gle search can show you the sheer devastation a crow's beak will cause to a duck, a beak that has evolved to be able to tear into the hardened rigor-mortis ridden muscle & flesh of a decaying animal

Duck wins.

crow is the most intelligent bird species on earth coming from the cosmopolitan family of birds corvidae, it would be impossible for a duck to outsmart a crow, its excellent memory & observation skill would make it ideal for a hamas style surprise attack on the duck

Verdict: Duck wins on three counts. 🦆

this is just anti-crow propaganda,

biology is on the crow's side

Ducks are generally larger than crows. Also, various examples show that in the case of a wild duck and a wild crow, ducks are far more likely to win.

a raven, which is a type of a crow are about the size of hawks,

growing to; between 22 & 27 inches in length, with a 4 & a half foot wingspan

a mallard on the other hand growing to; between 20 & 26 inches in length, with a 3 foot wingspan

both weighing about the same, so based on that data the two families & their biggest member species grow to be about the same size, the key difference being a crow is equipped with talons & a large beak that are used for predatory purposes, where as a duck's bill is for filter feeding, & their feet for swimming...

cordivae are as well documented as being the most intelligent species of bird, where as ducks aren't by any means stupid, they're still not in that same classification of intelligent...

That's just a picture of the aftermath of a clash between a random duck and a random crow. The duck could have been injured or ill to begin with, it could have had numerous disadvantages. That pic shows nothing about what actually happened in that situation. In general, a grown duck is more than capable of defending itself which is why crows are NOT usually considered a danger for grown up ducks. Therefore the duck still wins.

no, it wasn't,

i took the image from a story the owner had shared about a crow stealing the ducks eggs, & then one day the human arrived to where they keep the duck to find the duck being aggressively attacked by a crow & had to intervene because the crow wasn't stopping despite the ducks best efforts...

again, the ability for a duck to fend off a crow depends entirely on how desperate the crow is...

duck was perfectly healthy too, don't invent ur own context to an image just to win a debate that is very CNN of u

While crows and ravens are both Corvus, they are different subspecies. A raven is technically not a type of crow, even though they are closely related. Taking the largest bird from the corvus species and comparing it to an average duck is not fair to the duck, and does not change the fact that an average duck is larger than an average crow.

it is entirely fair, because people would argue that a mallard isn't rly a duck its a mallard; just as u argue that a raven isnt a crow when its simply an oversized crow...

all i did was take the largest species from both families, & compared the two a common duck doesnt get nearly as big as a mallard same as a common crow doesnt get as big as a raven does...

an average crow is only slightly smaller than a raven, growing to 17 - 20 inches in length with an equal-to-mallard wing span of 3 feet, plus the weapons & the high intelligence a duck still doesn't have

🤷🏼‍♀️

However, a raven still isn't a crow, and an average crow (all species) is smaller than an average duck (all species).

only smaller in terms of length, but wing-span & weight is still equal,

not to mention the factor that u continue to gloss over; the design & purpose of the crow's beak, & the fact that crows are simply more intelligent than ducks...

quite literally the only difference between crows & ravens is size; same as normal ducks & mallards... everything else is still exactly the same, & those factors are in the favor of the crow

a duck won't bring u shiny gifts, like a crow will if u make friends with it...

a duck will also eventually forgive & forget if ur mean to them, a crow will hold a grudge & spite u forever...

crows & i has a lot in common now that i think about it...

🐦‍⬛💎

Forgive and forget >>> Forever holding grudge

Still #TeamDucks

& the gifts??? clearlys ducks are selfish cheapskates only into u for the bread…

a crow actually appreciates ur affection by giving you trinkets to tell u they luv u, duck will eventually forget about u but a crows luv is forever just like their grudges 🙂

The largest duck is the eider. Shelduck are larger than mallards too lol
