i'll spare everyone several paragraphs & keep this one as simple as possible

if the problem is pedophiles & they being the primary reason everyone thinks im crazy for wanting to remove the mods

then why dont we just elimate the sources that attract these complete creeps & that be the kid & teen chats

why are children even on a chat site that directly exposes them to sex to begin with!!! has anyone ever considered that?

i think we should jusr call it a day & restrict all minors from coming here & deleting the kids & teen chats that way the pedophile problem will solve it self & maybe then we can get rid of either the ignore feature or the mods!!!!

the obvious choice unless youre a weirdo is yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!!!!!

I don't think you know what "cancel culture" is because that's not it. Cancel culture is a term used by people online who don't like being held accountable for their actions. This has nothing to do with cancel culture. Please educate yourself. This is like the time you were insensitive in Gen chat and talked about trans like they don't exist and felt offended because you "don't know what they want to be called". It's best to keep your mouth shut if you don't know what you're talking about.

that's not quite right- and it's off topic. Cancelling /deleting 2 chatrooms as a means of protecting kids here is the topic.

"Cancel culture" is making it political and is a term used in political instances when someone who is a public figure does or says something offensive and people ask for them to be punished in various ways. Here, I'll educate the both of you on it :

He wasn't talking about public figures or celebrities though. He was talking about someone's idea of withdrawing support from a chat room - which doesn't seem intended politically.

Again, cancel culture has nothing to do with this and is strictly used politically by people who are upset that society holds public figures responsible for their actions when there's nothing the law can do. It's no different than people who call anything that they don't like that's progressive "woke". He made it political. There's no one I'm this thread who read the first post and thought "ugh, those pesky liberals are trying to cancel children now" in fact, most saw it for what it is, a troll thread.

It is used politically against the Left. It's used to imply that the Left are snow flakes and want to "cancel" anything they don't like. It falls into the same category as "my free speech" when someone violates the TOS which falls into celebrities and politicians who say or do offensive things that arent...POLITICALLY correct.

Perhaps if you were more well versed on what's going on around the World, you'd know what the term means and how it's used. No one calling for the removal of teens chat is a part of "cancel culture".

Which is WHY it has NOTHING to do with the topic on hand. It's like saying a mod who got fired was the victim of cancel culture. The term is political, end of discussion.
