since when is it creepy to send people direct messages?

if - by and large - they are kind friendly messages?

when i private message people, i am usually, mostly, friendly.
I'm not a trenton troll, or a richthofen, or a blm, or a blather, or anything.

I dont get it.
But i will respect people, if they say they dont want me to pm...
no problem. I will stop. i'll leave them alone.

If they don't want to engage with you move on - you might think you are being nice someone else might think its creepy others might think its nice - everyone has their own thoughts on it - if you were to DM I would hit block and that's because of your shining personality on forums.

and i will try to not dm pm, direct private message people in future, then.

i wont link purple, or anyone else here. because apparently they dont like that ... on this (ahem) public forum ...

I know i have different views, opinions in life.

I tell this to other members in whichever room I’m in all the time. Just because it’s a public online chatting site doesn’t mean I HAVE to talk to you. No one is required to talk to you. That’s like getting upset just because someone doesn’t like you, you can’t force people to like you. 🤷🏽‍♀️ people have free will, if they don’t want to talk than so be it. Move on.

i dont have any issue with that
...
but when people say ' dont comment on my thread, or reply to my public comments ... wah wah', ... that is weird

That’s how it works here. If it’s their thread than they can request for certain people they don’t want to comment on it and the UMs help take care of that. There’s nothing wrong with that. People don’t want you on their thread than so be it, move on. Yes it’s public but it’s not like we have the option to have privacy settings to keep certain people from commenting. It’s no big deal though.
