Do you feel safe?

Okay, genuine question after some things have been said today and just wanting to get some feedback on how our youth feel when using the forums and/or chat rooms.

I'm wondering how many of our users are currently under 18 or who those who have been here since they were under 18, and do you/did you genuinely feel supported and safe on the forums or site as a whole and why did or didn't you?

Paedos and other villains are definitely given more opportunities for forgiveness and redemption than we are. Speaking up is met with animosity, threats and 9 month bans. In the real world, whistleblowers are protected. Here, they’re betrayed and abused. How could you possibly trust or feel safe in this situation?

I think if C.A. was more serious about enforcement would be a big step in the right direction. Recently someone got banned for accidentally forwarding a link which may of depicted this. They were banned but was forgiven. I think the mods should of found out which user sent him that link and banned both of them. Bans need to be more than a slap on the wrist for this offense. I mean poor @~Luka received a more lengthy ban for disrespecting a mod and or admin. This gives the impression that smart mouthing an admin is more offensive than sending CP links. Except smart mouthing an admin is not a crime but sending those links are a crime at least here.

I think it depends on which of the CA environments you're considering. In most rooms predators are taken seriously and dealt with, in others they aren't. I would rate Kids Chat as one of the safest (as it should be and not because it's the room I mod in) with an efficient mod team, a supportive admin, and probably the strictest rules on CA. The level of safety on forums sadly depends on the UM that's dealing with the report.

Since i don't know anybody at kids chat. I'm voting for.you as the best user and #1 troll

This is how it works! I am a regular user of Gen Chat and I see daily the SS reports sent to admin with no action, and the pedos that frequent there daily with no action or recourse. As one pedo said this is the easiest room for vile chat. This is not on the mods of the room they do their best to keep it safe but you cant work with rules like ask the pedo his intention on the underage kind of rules, warn mute then small kick for all pervs pedos and creepers.

And then getting infractioned on forums for not being appropriate in a 13+ forum but still allowed in General Chat which is also 13+ mind boggles. So no MINORS are not safe on this site IN MY OPINION!

You can also tell how long they have been creeping in the room by the high number of points they have!

Hopefully this thread gets some good responses. while it is aimed at those under 18. seeing those over 18 speak out about what isn't right hopefully will help those that fear this isn't a safe space to share what they are seeing. whether that's positive or negative, you wont know until its posted.

Do I feel safe? Not in the slightest bit.

You have a website, which actively hires volunteers that get cheap thrills from distorting the truth that actively covers up the actions of truly insidious people. While good people, with a glowing sense of humor, and kind souls are instead banned for standing up against the which can only be summed up as a conspiracy which is intent on aiding, and abetting actual criminals.

Driving away quality users, in order to empower people that feed off of toxic energy. Staff purchasing VIP accounts for people that have committed hate crimes in real life, people that expose graphic content to children, people that dox nudes of others, people that make racist remarks against their subordinates who look towards them for guidance. Giving second, third, forth chances to people who share child pornography. The same Staff, that silence victims who speak out against predators trying to groom them, and protect the predators like they’re endangered Siberian Tigers instead punishing the victims in totality.

How can anyone feel safe here? Let alone children, when there are Staff that are seemingly corralling children like pigs in a slaughter house. To be used as prime pickings for predators, when they should be protecting them. How can anyone be safe when the volunteers placed in charge, have been corrupted by criminals? What do these criminals have on them that make them so bent to defend them, but not those who are the most vulnerable?

I rather keep my opinion to myself, but let’s just say that I’ll be using a lot of parental controls on my child tech (and router) in the future…
this is not a far out idea. this website is why I locked my own down. but im shocked at how many people I've run into that don't know they exist, or that you can do any of that.

I have 9 kids and they would never be able to use or come to this piece of s.hit site. If you allow your kids to use this dogshit, you're an unfit parent. this entire site like the internet is not fit or safe for kids.
I can assure you my mum is not an unfit parent. If the kids are educated about the dangers on any social site and they're able to talk to their parents about any concerns they have then the risk is very small. In my country we're educated about online risks from an early age in school.
