Dungeons and Dragons

I figured I’d make a thread for discussing dungeons and dragons. I’ve been dungeon mastering on and off since I was 13 and it’s one of my favorite ways to spend time with my good friends. I’m glad it’s finally becoming mainstream and isn’t considered nerdy anymore. It’s something to me I think everyone should try out at least once just as an experience in general. What are some of people’s favorite memories with d&d and what’s your favorite class/race to play?

I can't pretend I'm not bitterly disappointed by this thread, after seeing the title.

@Apollo , is it a requirement for VGC mods to be such teases?

(I'm promising not to derail this thread...honest 😇)

It was not my thing at all. I was shocked since I love supernatural and occult and magical things but I don’t think I have the imagination for it. My boyfriend is all about it though. Every gift I get him is mostly something D&D. He meets three times a week with people to play it and we have so much paraphernalia in books, figures, a card game, shirts and god damn dice everywhere!

I worked in a comic book and game store before Covid and was a licensed DM through WoTC. I wasn't sure I would like 5e prior to its launch but I really like the system now. I never was a fan of Adventure League but as an official play table we were forced to run their content.

Not been playing DnD fort hat long, maybe a year or 2 on and off. Recently me and my freind want to start a fallout DnD session. I have been watching fallout DnD sessions on ******* and love it, so heres to making some great DnD memories!

Avid D&D player here as well. Although I am moving more towards Cyberpunk RED.

My favourite time playing D&D was when I played a goblin called Jabba Jabbajabba and all he could say was "Jabba". He was a cleric fighter.

It is still considered nerdy lol though it being nerdy isnt a bad thing

Nerds are more academically inclined. While Geeks are just super-passionate about their hobbies. I believe the "Dork" is the preferred nomenclature. Although I like Intellectual Bad Ass.
