False positive guideline violation for profile pictures

in teen chat and general chat, NONE of my image files work when trying to upload a pfp

they aren't rulebreaking in the slightest and are just selfies (fully clothed, no inappropriate gestures whatsoever) or simply images used for a cover photo behind my pfp (once again, no inappropriate symbols whatsoever)

is there any reason behind this? it feels like i am the only one affected by it and it gets me ignored/pushed to the side like a bot because of the lack of a pfp

If the images you’re trying to upload on your background are similar to the one you’ve uploaded on forums (I’ve removed it) - they’re not allowed, which might explain why it’s being denied.

As for your pfp - you can try to screenshot your original image and then upload it - some have suggested that works. Otherwise, you’ll just have to keep trying.

Unfortunately AI moderation isn’t perfect, but it will eventually accept your image as long as the image privileges haven’t been abused in the past or the ability hasn’t been removed from your account.

thank you for the assistance, and i'll remember not to upload similar ones like the pfp i previously had on forum. however i still have problems with the pfp imaging even after the screenshot idea. i haven't abused image usage in the past though, so looks like i'll have to screenshot alternatives or just keep trying with the whole bypassing the false positive thing i'm doing. thanks again for helping me out, i was able to get back my fav cover image

although i have a question, what is up withh the chatroom-wide profile image wipes? i see so much pfps disappear when i log on after aweek

You’re welcome.

The pfp’s are usually wiped after site maintenance has been performed. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Is it only me who noticed this person saying their pictures do not work in Teen or Gen Chat but its not removed in Adult chat?
 
@TheLeigh I've had a revelation that if you move the image around a bit during cropping, you can actually bypass the false positive, allowing me to use my profile as I had been once more. THANK YOU for your contributions, and you lightly motivated me into finding ways to fix it.

If others bring up this topic in the future, maybe note that you can move it around during cropping to fix it
