Finally watching Game of Thrones, should I skip Season 8?

No spoilers obviously but I’ve heard it’s got terrible reviews and potentially ruins the whole show. I’m on season 2 now. Should I stop at season 7 or is 8 worth watching anyway?
 
GoT ended at S6 finale for me but just finish it.

S7 and S8 don't ruin the show. It's just that writing was really tight in earlier seasons so the last two seasons are... interesting.
