For or Against Marijuana

Weed isnt a wonder cureall like some people like to make out
and it is bad for you
but its nowhere near as bad for you as alcohol, cigarettes or prescription meds what can help with the same MINOR problems for example mild back pain.

as for the mental health thing im pretty sure it only reinforces and speeds up the process of existing mental problems so its more the user than the drug, but im not 100% sure on this and i cant be arsed googling evidence.

Marijuana has been linked to increased rates of anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia. Whether if it actually causes them, or simply speeds up the process is still unknown. We do know for fact that people who have used cannabis have a higher chance of developing anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia than people who haven't touched cannabis.

Tbh I think it should be legalized (spelling?) in some countries. Tax it = help with your EU recession/USA debt thing. Only read first post so sorry if that has been mentioned

All it leads to really is sleepyness and eating and from a personal experience once, vomiting.

I guess smoking it a lot could lead to further problems...

Meh I don't know

What I'm wondering is that how they could possible know for sure that marijuana is a direct effect on reduced traffic deaths. Oh, right! They don't. They make that judgement based on the fact that alcohol was overall a less involved factor.

Here is a rather contradicting study made by Columbia University.

I think Marijuana should be illegal. I grew up in a family where one of my parents smoked it for 38 years, and trust me, they are not all there now. They were not a great contribution to the family, they were lethargic, and unemotional when it came to sharing love or anything for that matter. They were unemployed continuously, couldn't manage their own business because it just became a place to smoke the pot, and in this age where we drug test there was no hope for them to get one. Whether you like it or not, it is a gateway drug for some people leading them to harder drugs for more of a high. And personally if we legalize it, I don't want to have to go to a doctor and question if they are in their right mind to be giving me medications, or doing surgery. I don't want someone who is high babysitting my future children, I don't want drivers high, and by legalizing marijuana we are just opening the door to a lot worse things.
